I realized it's possible you might actually still be breathing after whatever the hell I witnessed out there.
You'd be number three on my "people I met in space that I almost hit it off with who die shortly after" list, if I'm wrong. Please don't do that to me, buddy!

Hi there, never thought you'd be worried over my sorry hide. It's me, the Prophet should have been left alone, and I think you've just seen why. It sent us to apparently some kind of disconnected, empty system. As of sending this message, I'm still trying to navigate my way around it - it's deep within the Omegas, in some bumfuck nowhere hidey-hole nestled somewhere in the Walker nebula. I can't describe how it feels to be in something this stretched out and empty, but I have definitely felt this before, and it wasn't pretty. I think you can see what it's like to deal with Caliban now. He refuses to listen, acts on his own, and to me he's just a lost cause at this point.
On a brighter note, I will make sure to get back to you as soon as I can navigate my way out of this endless orange, praying that there might be some anomaly that can take me... well, anywhere that's on the star charts, really. I really can't wait to have a look at the things your people have been working on, putting things apart and putting them back together has a nice tendency of blowing off some steam.
God, that sounded lame. I shouldn't send this rec-
Pfthahaha! "Never thought you'd be worried", they say!
I watched you all dive into some creepy anomalous, whispering vortex of crumpled up ship junk and blink outta reality, I ain't just gonna shrug that off. There's so much more Points humour I gotta experience first!
For real, though, it's good to hear from you. You're honestly takin' the whole thing pretty well, considering how insane that is - keep doing that! We can chat about tinkerin' and things after you're all ok.
Now, the fact I got your message is good news. I'm able to sound the alarm and take the problem to Monty - I think we have a jump-capable ship or two under our flag. Maybe we can come to you fellas and pull you out, but you'd need some way to relay positional data to our hyperdrive. Ideally, you'll be able to find a way out on your own, but give me a holler if not and I'll fight to get things moving back here. Otherwise, I'll keep my ear open for ya.
And when it comes to your acquaintance... aah, I don't really know him personally, so I don't want to shoot from the hip. He seemed, I dunno... pretty much in crisis to me. Like he was ready to finally buy the farm, you know?

Hey again, I think I'm in a spot with better reception right now. We've stumbled upon a gravitational anomaly by sheer chance at the southern end of the system and made it out alive somehow. It's a real shame it took me hours just to send that message, but it is what it is with the sparse population of comm relays around the Omegas, being as unpopulated and dangerous as they are. What is also a shame, is how I've missed out on your request for help, to which I would've sent a more precise stellar triangulation position to expedite the process of you finding us. But, that's quite alright. I really appreciate the offer and the thought alone.
I think it would be more ideal if we could catch up somewhere - I'll try to explain what we've seen through the Prophet in the two times we've been in it while we're at it. It's some veeery scary stuff, so I hope you've buckled your seatbelt. It will be great to break the monotony of Caliban's ranting and spiels, really. Hope to see you soon!
