Screw the lies of the IAU! Pluto is a planet! It orbits the sun, it's round, it's not a star, and it doesn't orbit another planet; therefore, it's a planet. If they're going to pull that "dwarf planet" crap, they have to do the same to Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune, because none of those planets "clear their neighborhoods". Why single out Pluto?

But yeah, what's so wrong with having 10, 15, or even hundreds of planets in Sol? People aren't THAT stupid that they can't memorize more than nine! (As for asteroids, there's Ceres, which is round; hence, it's a planet in its own right, while Pluto and Charon orbit each other, making them a binary planet.)
