Hello, I've been a Freelancer fan for many years, and have just recently got my friends involved in playing Freelancer as well. We all play it over at their house on the weekends. The only reason I dont play it on the internet at home is because I only get about 5 gigs of pass through a month, and if I go over that I start paying per Kilobyte. I haven't tested it myself, but do any of you guys know how much pass through Freelancer generally takes? Is it realistic for me to play it on my internet?
Freelancer doesn't take too much bandwidth. It was designed for dial up modems. I believe that it uses less than 5 kbytes/sec. My bad maths suggests this works out to around 400 megabytes for 24 hours of continuous playing.
