Ah. "Forbidden" it is. Much interesting, then. Not just can't ALG handle wildlife - while a corporation much devoted to ecology and environments is one of most fitting legal organisations to do so, - but ALG also can't transport, unconditionally:
- human organs? ALG has research department, and some humans organs extracted from dead bodies are very important source of scientific information about impacts on human health from industrial pollution and waste, deteriorating environments, etc;
- nomad ship remains. ALG is hostile to nomads. Should ALG vessel(s) defeat some nomad forces, trophies of war are to be respected, no? And then again, ALG Research can use larger amounts of those to learn how beat the crap out of those enemies of ALG...
- NOX? Isn't it industrial fuel, quite important and in the same time quite dangerous to ferry? Why ALG can't transport it?
But the rest of the list makes good sense, yeah.
edit: oh, don't get me wrong, i'll abide personally, it was just thoughts aloud for consideration, mr. President.
Do you see the groundhog there? No? Me neither. But, it's there nonetheless.
Regarding the wildlife, it could mess up the relationship we have setup with the Gaians for a NAP (Non Agression Pact) so we can travel and they help us where possible. The Gaians ofc try to preserve Gaia's natural beauty and ecosystem. And besides it's illegal in most house so you'd have to get permissions and whatnot that seem out of roleplay for ALG's true purpose.
I think in the year 818/819 (forgot) A.S. people are well aware of the treat of industrial pollution and the effect it has on people and planets. And I reckon Cryer should focus more on that, the research of the human system and influences.
Beside the fact Order players will hunt you down for carrying Nomad remains without having them 'acquired' through them they're also illegal in the houses and are only used to special licensed transports and purposes. And some other stuff...
NOX is actually a drug originating from Gallia, MOX is the fuel.
Gaians are quite unwilling to share, but with time and mutual benefits, perhaps some limited inRP trade convoys to select locations. Could be interesting.
Cryer is the bunch who experiments on creating legal alternative to that outcasts' drug if i remember correctly. And overall, those folks are "pharmacuiticals", this says enough already, eh. But if you say so, then i'll trust your knowledge. Though i suspect this won't end well. Myself, i have no trust in all those drugs. ><
I've been flying Order gunboat in the past. They'll hunt people who do business with nomad parts indeed; but people who do no busyness about it but instead communicate with Order itself and deliver those parts to them - if my memory servers, Order will just salute this. Or at least, it should. Surely house security forces won't be happy about such an exchange, but then, how often do we get to fight nomads in house space - and how often can't we move those parts to Order representative without going throguh house space? Order, while being labelled as "terrorist" faction, in fact is doing quite noble cause: protecting humans. In this, ALG and Order are on the same side, and could cooperate about those nomad ship parts if/when it'd be possible, - of course, currently it's not, nomad parts being prohibited for ALG to carry.
NOX/MOX. Sigh. Me silly. I need to do my homewerk alot through all the basics once again, it seems. ><

A little update about myself to conclude this topic.
Posted in ALG recruitment. Installed 4.86 (48.60, whatever). Runs OK. Tried /restart ALG command - it says there is no such template. Have no clue which faction to start with if not with ALG to have the closest possible to ALG rep with NPC factions; not sure if ALG actually has a template after all - just under a different name. Kind of stuck. I think i'll be able to sort it out, though. Thanks for all who posted and once again bug thanks to Tyler; see you in the game.

We do have a template, should be in the faction information page. The reason for not being able to name your ship properly is because of the tag being protected with a code.
I'll add you to the Skype tonight and have my HRM help you get started with ID&IFF and tag.
