I fully approve the Consensus grab for the AI crown, while i personally am not a huge fan of AI gameplay it is very nice to see a group that found it to their tastes and that sticks to it, too. The AI -need- an official faction to guide and mold the AI rp, simply to cause less madness and havoc happen in the Omicrons, and from my ingame experience the Consensus is sensible enough to handle what gets thrown their way and act mature enough to not cause any irrational drama.
Quote:Yes, Query matches a lot better. thanks...and no it wasn't used yet in [AI] .
Oh I always kinda used it anyway Thanks for clearing that up Hass.
We're still working on dealing with some lore conflictions with the nomads, so if any nomad lore aficionados spot anything glaring then by all means inform us. I'm hoping to get it done by the end of the week or when I get back active on Wednesday/Thursday.
Oh and thanks Rodnas, we've had good stuff at your end (Rp wise) as well.
There shouldn't be that much that is confrontating with the nomad lore anymore. i checked our history again and again. just one thing maybe doesn't match, the first nomad contact.
well and the biggest part of our lore is written in realtime
Yep, and that's kinda one of our selling points; we try to keep an evolving backstory based almost entirely upon ingame events and inter-faction roleplay, which in turn affects how the Consensus sees humanity as a whole. We try to be flexible, and let ourselves be buffeted around by events and Rp strains other people throw in. Not everything goes in mind you (hostile indie's station shooting sprees doesn't really make for good Rp material), but rather anything we think we can build on, regardless of any attached positivity or negativity.
An evolving, real time (or near enough, events are usually compiled and written in at the turn of the month) backstory also lets us add to the detail of who and what we are, since (as with a lot of new concepts that weren't enshrined in vanilla), the reference material is all player-made. Since a faction is never just about it's members, we thought It'd be good to let the rest of the Disco community (that is, the small fraction who we encounter InRp) have a bigger hold on the potter's wheel in that regard, since anything new in an area as densely played in as the lower Omicrons is bound to rattle a few cages if it doesn't flex a little in the breeze. As a concept, it's really worked since we first tried it in march.
I was wondering how an AI not from gammu would fit if it wanted to join the consensus... Imagine an independent house-made AI that wanted to leave house space and unite with his distant brothers.........
I've had some decent encounters with your group although few as they have been. Although I will say your diplomacy is pretty bare. Are we to assume everyone not mentioned is Neutral? I know you've traded in Rheinland a few times and not a single faction from there makes the list.
