Combined with Duel it can make for a really intense experience where mistakes can be punished real hard, but also make combat more interesting. Since I haven't played Requiem much, I can't give a good opinion about that.
Requiem tries to achieve more "oldschool" feeling of an RPG, concentrating on "roleplayish" environment and on gameplay where player starts out weak and have to crawl up to the top. Level scaling either doesn't exist or you don't even feel it in first place. (like, not recommended to fight your first dragon until 20+, not recommended to even approach draugr until 10+, etc). Also investing at least 1 perk point in a tree is a must if you want to use that skilltree (all of which got either changed or fully overhauled)
Etc etc.
I play it on relatively "easy" mode with Conjuration/Destruction/Alteration mage, easy because I could level up myself by fighting own summons on early levels and because raise dead is a bit too good early on, but so far it's the only thing that made me go back to Skyrim and start a new playthrough. Maybe will try a warrior later on, it's going to be entertaining.

How can you COMPARE modded game to clean game in the first place? :|
Is it even relevant if game is modded or not? Game is a game, if it's same genre, you can compare them to each other.

Have you tried modding your Skyrim, roleplaying your character, certain restrictions during a playthrough and so on? Ever tried a playthrough with a wooden sword, no magic or perhaps finishing most quests by sneaking and reverse-pickpocketing poison? It can become really challenging and fun. I have to agree that vanilla Skyrim just as it is can get boring quickly, but with the stuff mentioned it's easy to add a few thousand hours of gameplay as long as you have the discipline to strictly stick to your/your characters restrictions and the creativity to come up with fun challenges and characters.
Gonna say this: if you need mods or any other "extra" stuff such as roleplay to make a game goos, then, that game is not goos.
Well i wouldnt know i game with better mods...
Especially the body mods are something, if you know what i mean.
If anyone knows a game with better bodymods let me know, lol.

Or 'armor' that barely even covers some of the more sensitive regions of the human physique.
Interesting stuff.
And you can't really rate the TES games by their mod quality. After all, each sequel to the series has attracted a larger playerbase, meaning there's a greater pool of modders and thus a greater pool of mods. With more competition and choice, it's only logical that the quality of mods improves as the series gets more fans.
Although I'm not as much of a fan of the 'streamlining' required to attract such a large playerbase, but oh well.
