Brothers. Two important things happened yesterday. Firstly, we destroyed OPG forces twice. Secondly, we finally conducted recon into the heart of the Wilde systems. The enemy Corsairs attempted to scout the Wilde systems as well, and that is when we cornered them in. Blockading the exit from Omega-58 while they were in it, we disallowed them exit and waited for them to be picked off one by one by the Wild before the only thing that was left was their transporter. It attempted to hide from us in Omega-58 itself, but our recon teams flushed it out straight under the fire of the cruiser Red-River, protecting the exit from the blasted Wilde home system from enemy takeover. The transport ship was easily destroyed and important cargo was recovered from it.
We entered the Omega-5 system afterwards to get away from the inevitable Wilde pursuit. Upon entering we found more OPG forces waiting for us which we promptly overwhelmed. Good job, everyone.
I hereby promote Rekrut Hagen von Seelenburg to Leutnant for his extraordinary dedication to the Red Hessian cause. Stand proud, Leutnant. You earned it.
Regards,
Flottekapitan Meisnerr

Attached below is a report from the Hessian mission into Omega-58.
There are at least two infested bases visible upon entry into Omega-55, with heavy Wilde patrols guarding the area. Fighting the enemy is not advised as numbers quickly overwhelm any force that attempts entry. Due to the nature of the mission our force was unable to capture snapshots or scans of these bases.
Once escaped from the asteroid area Wild patrols are almost inexistant. The jump hole to Omega-58 is discovered in the border between the sectors 6G and 7G.
Initially recon encountered a large planet, possibly habitable. Scans and snapshots were taken, and attached below.
A construction of alien kind was detected after. Recon investigated.
Scans revealed the construction on image A to be highly powered, very possibly being either a weapon of mass destruction or an intergalactic gate. In any case we should be ready to move in and destroy the construction if absolutely necessary. Heavy losses are to be expected.
Due to the nature of the mission we were unable to take more scans. Another entry mission is advisable as soon as possible.
We have managed to successfully recover several pieces of equipment from the destroyed Corsair transport. Our forces salvaged several weapons of some kind, as well as what our technicians initially reported to be an alien power cell. The power cell has been given away to storage and will be examined immediately. Do not however attempt to activate it on Vogtland. A dedicated experiment will be undertaken as soon as possible.
