Gentlemen.
We have been busy lately with mostly the home front, our regulars have been much better at fighting off the Wilde so I have specifically put the Daumann situation on a higher priority. I must admit that this must be what allowed the Nomads to start slipping through the cracks again. The Wilde are slimy serpents, and they have begun sending truly alien abominations into Omega-7 on what my analysts dub "lightning raids". Fortunately our Omega-7 spy sensors are still very much working, so we've managed to detect one of these raids while it was under way.
Herr Hessler immediately mobilised two warships from our capital fleet: the Jeschke and the Hessen, to respond to the threat which we knew was not just a bunch of small, concealed ships as usual. I myself was onboard the Jeschke, overseeing the situation personally as a matter such as this is of deep importance to the SOA. We've arrived on scene to find an alien capital ship with a small escort on its way to attack the free miners of the Omega systems. Our ships intercepted the group and after a short exchange of fire managed to destroy the big ship without sustaining heavy damage. One less warship for the abominations. Their escort craft proved useless against our strong shields, but too nimble for our guns. With the approaching Rheinland Military we've decided to withdraw for the moment and process our data from the incident.
Attachment #1
A scan has managed to identify the big alien ship at least in part. The ship is currently considered to be cruiser class following a detailed analysis of the size, firepower and projected weight.
Of course, despite our victory and the acquisition of mountains of new data, the whole situation is troubling. If the aliens are not afraid to send small armadas into our space, it must mean that there are more of them lurking around. Hence the Spezialoperationabteilung is as of now ordered to divert its resources back to scanning the infected Omega-55 system for further sightings of alien fleets, and the further acquisition of data on alien vessels of any and all varieties. Any aliens encountered in our space are to be scanned thoroughly then promptly detonated using any and all available forces.
Don't hold back. Alien ships are far more dangerous than any Military ship we ever encountered. Once again: do not hold back.
