This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
This is dangerous territory, but ok I'll take the bait.
I really do mean no harm; I just want to clarify why I at times have been annoyed with you. Maybe it will be helpful for you, or maybe it will make you mad. I really don't know, but you said you wanted to know.
You strike me as a friendly person out of game, but as people say you maybe invest yourself too heavily in things. For me, the first incident happened after you and I spent some time in Conn (not sure if you knew it was me), and you were saying you were frustrated about your PVP. We practiced and I did my best to give you some pointers.
A few days later; I am flying a random ship and fighting some random guys, and afterwards I see you on all skype channels going on about jittering, cheating, ganking and a lot of other stuff after I killed you. I take note. Some time later, the same thing happens on a different ship; you go apeshit on Skype after getting gibbed. I have to actually show you screenshots of how your side outnumbered our fighters, and how you even had a dread shooting at us before you would pack it in. A lot of Discovery people have a lot of alts and many, many different characters; so when you go off about someone in some Skype chat, chances are that either that person or someone close to that person will be in the very same chat; which of course leaves a negative impression of you. Now I understand full well the need to blow off steam, but there are also other ways of doing it.
The same thing occurred over and over in the Corsair Skype chat as well. You cannot take a defeat, you put too much importance into the pixels. Another few examples along these lines are the recent kudos thread, in which me and a buddy fought a bunch of you guys and eventually ended up dying. During the encounter you were all full of bravado, "stand back and let me handle this", and even your wingmen in-rp commented on the comedy when you were getting spanked and asking for help moments later. Eventually my buddy and I of course die; but to top it off you go to the kudos thread and fashion a message in a way where it seems as if you all by yourself halted this Gallic invasion, when in fact you at all times outnumbered us 2:1, and at some points more. You later fixed that, but come on...
What I am getting at is that you are a nice guy with a lot of drive; you just seem to let your insecurities trip you up. You see, there's no shame in a defeat; and even when winning there can be more personal gratification in holding back the self-praise. It's a small community, so we all know each other to some extent, so when you do the self-praise/self-denial thing you expose yourself to those who know your track record.
At the end of the day, it's really not so much whether we "win" or "lose" that affect your stock with other people, it's rather how you handle it.
So ye, lighten up and just have fun. It really is one of the most useless things in life to have success in. It's not important, it's a game.

And... you don't see the horrific powergaming inherent in the fact that you've just happily spilled every single Hessian secret to a Wilde your character thought was a member of the Rhienland Military?
Like I said, go read the RP behind it, my char does not want to be a Hessian, she wants a new life, and have been offered with Bowex and this "Wilde" showed as a Rheinland Military and there was this offer and a few tasks must have been completed first. It is completely within RP

I'd just like to note that Bowex had nothing to do with your comm thread, and the events we're currently incredulous over occurred after the Bowex ship had left. So far as I'm concerned, this is one of the worst possible forms of powergaming - Jansen shouldn't have asked you to provide that information, and you certainly shouldn't have followed through with it. That's out of basic courtesy to the involved factions. In the past, things like this have been locked on principle.
