I kinda like the idea as well, as far as a completely unknown person's would weigh in.
I have been thinking about setting an LPI ship to counter smuggling and piracy in Liberty. As this is the most active system anyway.
If the Vigilantes where actually there as a faction, I would have applied. But I agree with what was said earlier. If you think the LPI is not stepping up, why not join them and do it yourself.
The worst that could happen is somebody not agreeing with the tactics you use (Steven Seagull galore! ).
In that case, you have at least opened up the discussion with what would definitely be the right faction for this.
I am still mulling through whether I should create this LPI ship, I am online quite often these days, so it would be fun to give pirates/smugglers a run for their money again..
Quote:This is kind of what we will be going for, if we're using LPI ID. I will write a bit more of the storyline today and publish it here because I have some ideas that might work very well here.
Quote:1. You can still demand smugglers drop their cargo (and shoot if they don't)
2. You can pew pirates
3. You get TLAGSNET access
1) We would anyway with LPI ID.
2) We would anyway with LPI ID.
3) We would anyway with LPI ID, however I was thinking about a bit of story that would involve someone hacking the TLAGSNET for us.
So...what ID are you using? j/k
Anyways, so, if you ARE using the LPI ID, and as long as your are specifically going after smugglers and demanding they drop their contraband before arbitrarily blowing them out of the stars, then there's nothing wrong the group. You're basically an indy LPI group that targets smugglers, and does so harshly.
Sure, maybe you'll get into some hot water with the Official LPI if they feel you're abusing your authority, but that could also lead to some good RP (unless they're gonna FR5 you for it, which would probably be stupid unless they just like to be trolls)
