Can easily be implemented; Setup faction groups, set the faction leader as the owner of that group, they then add in their own members and can moderate their own private subforum, and only members of that faction group can see it.
That would defeat the point entirely, because the important threads would still have to be lumped in a single public board.

I think that works better then a subforum for every single faction.
Polls are mostly useless on this forum because people have so many alt accounts. You're probably better off working on a detailed explanation and layout for your idea, presenting it to the powers that be and asking them to consider it.
They are more likely to respond to a well thought out and pre-planned forum structure than a poll that lacks credibility.
Looks more like they've got a few broad official factions that do most of the forum management within themselves. By comparison, we're very decentralized. That puts a heavy sense of trust in expecting each faction to behave itself, though. With the sheer volume of official factions we have here, I doubt we could lay that kind of power down across the board, it'd take a little restructuring.
Maybe formalizing an OORP "House Council" chosen by the members of the official factions - or even our moderation/administration - who effectively moderate their House's boards. That would help steer the RP as well, since we wouldn't end up with cases where a single person is claiming monarchy and wielding the entire power of a house just because he or she is RPing the leader.
And yes, Cross. I feel like I'm looking into another universe. They're like Nega-Zoners compared to us.
Oh, wait, that essentially -is- a parallel dimension. We've got some wacky sci-fi stuff going on here.
Back on topic, though. I think I'd be in support of a forum presence that could be more monitored by the official factions. It'd take some of the stress off of the current moderation team. They'd keep an eye on the people doing the moderating, instead of moderating the forums directly. Provides a smaller group to watch over. Dividing that up by house and then by lawful/unlawful would allow us to focus more on what it is that we do instead of nosing into everyone else's business on a regular basis. The Border/Edgeworlds would be an exception, of course, where there's less of a clear Lawful/Unlawful division out there.

I agree with this, as long as the neccesary volunteers from the factions spring up, it means less work for the current mods.
It would eb mandatory for each player clan to oversee and manage their own forum part. If they cannot or will not do so they could lose the clan option.
in my experiance this has been enough incentive to keep things in order
@ Cannon: ill try and find some for you. that show what I intend to state here.
We have far to many factions for each to have their own sub forum. Better bet is to section it off into regions as suggested and have a few moderators from the official factions that represent those regions.
