Make bases SRP. => forum rp would be obligatory that way
Make rules for base roleplay and positioning that keep stupid things from happening (like Hessian base at NB Planet) => already checked in the SRP
Forbid / not grant anything that is harmful for gameplay (all blocking bases). => automatically done in the SRP
Move existing bases that would not be granted any more in their positions or disarm them. => players can be ordered to do that, e.g. I would happily disarm Falster if such a rule came into existence.
When that part of "base owner rp" is there, I can see that attackers can be forced to put their rp there, too.
I think its was far to easy for POB's to be destroyed by any pumped up narrow sighted person with a 10 second idea in his head.
Im very happy there is now a required rp in both game and forums to destroy someone hard work.
Unless you get a base provided by a faction solo and small groups will know just how hard it is to create a base in the first place......many ....many hours go into making one so why should it be so easy to destroy one with no rp or reason....
I think there should be consequences for rash quick decisions to destroy a persons hard work and base.
maybe now people will now have time to even build a shield generator for there POB before its destroyed.
Its a massive thumbs up from me.
It's great to see that people finally acknowledge the point I made in my other thread.
On that note, naturally, I agree with the fact that needing RP for a base is in some situations silly, has holes and gives opportunity for people to set up retarded bases.
I honestly don't see what was so wrong before. Just because a bunch of people (who could've easily been stopped with simple admin intervention) decided to form a group with the sole intent of blowing up bases, people suddenly think that this mentality is among everyone. Sure, bases explode and people lose money, but so do trader's carrying commodities. What makes bases so different? When you make a PoB, you should take into account that it may come under attack from hostile forces. You can prevent the destruction of the base via keeping an eye on it, or just simply setting up some weapons platforms.
Ive personally had two bases destroyed.....both of which I didn't have time to build a shield generator let alone a weapons platform.....im talking over night !...... gone.
Im guessing your base is already setup and secured.
Well, from practical standpoint, bases were never intended to be built/supplied by a solo player or even a small group. Building and maintaining a base is easiest and best when you have a larger group to do it with. Maybe they'd be a nice SRP or official faction-only perk, to tie this into that thread?

Then contact some people to defend it for you.
Bases should not be a solo undertaking. You need other people to come and help you build them.
I would start to give engagement notice to bases when their platforms start to give me engagement notice, if u don't like make the base to fill sanction reports.
I still fail to see why the admins are so one sided about the bases, the poor attackers totally outgunned and now outrulled.
