I'm with snak3 here - the double standard invites trouble.
inRP, what difference does a tag make to the human interacting with the Nomad?
I'm sorely tempted to make a fistful of Nomad snubs, get a view friends, and show just how bad an idea this is.
Of course, I come from a nation built by rebels who question authority, so I can blame my heritage.
Oh, and this too;

Seriously? Admins what were you thinking?
Quote:you are all up in arms about this, but if it wasn't a big deal up till this point or you didn't realize this rule was around for that entire time, why are you making it one now? If it hasn't affected you in that year and a half, why now are you deciding to raise an issue with this?
Absolutely nothing stops you from doing that Papa, but others before you have done that to prove a point. You know what happens? They get bored of it within a week or two. So if you want to make a group like that to prove a point, sadly it's not going to all of a sudden make people see that and change their minds to "Wow, that's harmful to the server and it should be changed".
This is probably the most gravedigging discussion I've seen. The Nomad ID and ANY Nomad ID has been around like this for a while, and they were always able to engage freely. Why wasn't it a problem before the Indie ID? because the K'Hara, permission or not, RP before engaging.
Like Finn said, It is more about RPing and Mind-Warping you if we venture out of the 'Crons. Have you ever brought a Nomad into Liberty? It's not fun, not even as a morph. You only get "Engaging Blue" by the LNS Cap swarm. Imagine that with No-RP Rules. Just No.
The Nomads can freely engage in the Omicrons, big whoop, only the K'Hara have the allowance to do it anywhere, and we do not do it. I'd say get your knickers out of a twist, you've lived with this for a long time, no reason to get upset about it now.

This more sounds like Rule 1.2 violation to me
There is diference betwen doing something and Overdoing it.
Those indie nomads are not siting 24 hours per day there and blocking entire omicrones they play when they feel it's fun afther that they are gone so many people pass thrue omicrones despite the dangers.
If you going to create a crowd of people and abuse alowance of your ID just to enforce your will around it will harm people around and the comunity itself.

It sounds very much like a 1.2. Doing this just to troll other players in the Omicrons is wrong, and missing the point completely.

I would object to it because it reserves us the right to make us of that line if we feel the need to.
It feels a bit redundant and hypocritical to have it and not use it. You have it because you are badass aliens. You don't use it because you are good players.
A better player would refuse double standard benefit that goes against general and global rules in the first place.
But who am I to judge. I only preach equality here when it's obvious people with privileges do not want to give it away.

Not sure if serious.
As I said, develop difficult alien speech patterns and make your faction red to everything, then we can start talking about equality. Constantly ignoring some valid points from certain players is not going to help, you know.
The current situation is working out quite fine. It has existed this way for quite a while now and there were no critical incidents. The danger of no-rp engagements is limited to the Omicrons, and even then indie nomads are not nearly active enough to really make it a major gamebreaking thing.
Don't make it a problem for the sake of having a problem.
