Now why would the dev team come up with that?
A trading option lost? No more in flight logistics?
Have the armed forces of the world stopped replenishing its forward troops?
Clearly you now have to break of battle in order to return to base to reload.
Glad you never had to resupply my Regiments.
& just to irritate some people for fun: If you're bent out of shape over this little trial...whah.
If you need to be fed during a PVP, then don't pretend you don't suck at it You are all laughably transparent.
I suck at it...& yet I've always been of the opinion that the feeders & the eaters are simply less than those who are willing to fight w/o accepting support.
People can justify the RP logic all they want, but the bottom line is, bot & bat feeding is for the weak. Period.
During a major battle where BOTH sides are supporting their fighters...well, that's one thing, but if it's one-sided, then you deserve to be ridiculed as the vajayjay you claim to RP
IMO you should enable bot sharing between same classes. That's about the only way you can survive a hideous gank when you are heavily outnumbered, but not outskilled.

I'd just like to point out that there are seasoned pilots on both sides of this issue. (myself, Pancakes, Hidamari vs Haste, Yber, and Omicega for example). Believe it or not Marburg some of us are actually mature enough to have a debate about what's best for gameplay rather than being selfserving wankshafts.
You know, I could log out from this account, but I will post with it anyway, because this is related to the problem.
You know why people fly in groups most of the time? Because they are not good at shooting. They are not good at getting shot. They need people to fall back on if they are not doing good and this goes for both snubs, transports, caps or whatever. There are people who are just will depend on their group mates for their survival, be it from their own lack of skill or due to bad machines, lag or otherwise.
When I fly on my ships in a group fight, I will never turn down someone's request for bots or bats, because if I tell them no- their encounter ends and they can just sit in the group chat feeling bad that they could not do more. I've been there. You have all been there, no doubt. If you only could have been kept in the fight for a bit longer, things would have turned out differently, or so you'd like to think.
Nothing demotivates me personally than knowing that I will suck so much during a group fight, especially if it is me who organizes it. But this change will make this happen more often than already.
This change is for the benefit of ''good'' players. PVP aces, who can take on four to five people at the same time and who get very pissed off when someone gets botfed, which will allow their friends to keep on hammering on you while you try to get through that fresh stock of bots as you shoot the guy you judged to be the weakest.
But you know what? Fine.
It, in practice, will end up with people flying something that has more bots to use in the first place. I know we will.
