Yes , it is easier to kill one , but that is not evolution , that is extinction .
If we kill every great ship and leave bad ones , how are we expect new players to come or current one to stay ?
Evolution is necessary , both in ships and in game , without evolution we will still have freelancer single player only !

1. If we're speaking about the Geb ==> Not every ship, cuz Geb is facing only Core, Noms and Sairs occasionally.
2. Nerfing everything isn't the way we should walk through. Many ships are already floating ducks and nearly useless vs smaller snubcrafts, maybe some of them aren't meant to fight snubs, but still many caps are pretty useless vs snubs. I saw 3 LABCs, 2 LACs and Defiant trolled by 3 pirate bombers. They just couldn't hit them.

Isn't it a reason why people shouldn't fly just caps in group? If 3 LABCs and 2 LACs had at last 2 VHFs, then everything would be much better.
It's Liberty style, SPAWN caps and kill everything, then 3 bombers appear and LNS guys are sad, because they can do nothing about it.
If you update Caps so they will be strong against snubs as well, then you can expect just Caps in game.
Our snubs (2 or 3) got rekt before with help of one additional pirate vhf, if you ask.
Anywway caps should be restricted somehow. Most people (Me too as well) are flying them, because they look awesome, they're big and funny (and commonly avaible only on Disco server). Some people are flying them because they're weak in snubs. It isn't funny if you get rekt in every single snubfight. Practice you say? But how much time you will be forced to train before killing some more experienced fighters? Some months or maybe an year , depends on how much time you can spend online. Depends on how well you're determined to get better and so on. Snub players are already telling that caps are terribly OP and too common, but in most situations they're just rekting them. We really need something which will make us both happier, maybe restricting capitals (bigger than gboats) to RP? But I don't mean a lot of RP, just a story of your "admiral", history of his service in millitary and approval from official faction. Just restrict them a bit, don't remove, buff and make them how they could behave. If it passes through the community, just give back 100% cash from big caps which are already owned by users.
Caps are in need to be stronger, even if it will cost their avaibility. It could also boost RP actions and so on.

I'm for updating stuff, not nerfing it.
Sair bs doesn't need changes, the Geb and mako do.
Also those lACs and labcs must have really sucked. Seriously with a Gb and LABC you can take out armies those players really must have lacked coordination/skill.

Quasi thanks to loadout as well, but notice that not everyone is flying with skill equal to your. Those situations are just happening. However, I understand this point of view, if someone can't beat everyone then he/she sucks. If he/she wants some updates, you don't want to give it to them, because of some players that are really wiping everyone. You just won't buff caps cuz of a few people who could handle the whole armadas with 2 ships. It seems to be a bit selfish, doesn't it? Yes, it's easier to steal their fun from playing this game & behave like the problem doesn't exists. Well, it's a heart of Role-Playing server that some people will die to make someone happier only cuz you're afraid of getting rekt. It's easier to say it doesn't happen and just don't care about it. If some noobs are bringing bigger numbers then you're crying you're getting ganked, while you're still able to get them with your current forces. Some people are just complaining if they see some capitals
To make it clear: There's nothing personal, I'm just commenting general point of view and comments which had gone due to forum's rollback. Some people remember them, some do not.
If you don't want to see that many capitals, just restrict them and it will solve the problem. As long as they're openly avaible people will fly them due to many reasons. And their overpowered caps will get rekt by underpowered snubs. People will start complaining about those restrictions so the situation wouldn't be much changed

The Geb can pretty much kill every other battleship in the mod (and it's supposed to be a light/medium 'bs'). It'd be stupid to beat around the bush and just buff all the other ships (which could upset the balance even more) rather than deal with the problem itself. The Geb just needs to be upscaled and maybe have it's guns looked at.

The solution there isn't too buff everything it's too
Just back to the point, enough of this argument, we've both shared our points of view and some people will start blaming me in a while for my statements. There's just a problem and we should find a way to fix it and make both sides happier. I personally think it will be the best if we restrict capitals. If they aren't welcomed there just tell it openly and don't hide behind some other sentences.
To be honest, I think it's the best solution to restrict them. It will boost role-playing and snub fights, which are already wwanted by the hungry community. If they're restricted, they could be stronger and could fit their roles better.
Why don't we just try it out for a month? We'll have less caps nearby and more role-playing on forum. If it isn't welcomed by the community, just bring them back and lets say the situation didn't happen? Just don't be afraid of changes, give them a trial, if they won't pass just remove them and return to the previous situation
If we restrict caps&remove heavies from carriers we will add "NPC waves from carriers" as player-controlled snubcrafts ==> No big coding needed, only some RP and restrictions. Carriers will play their role as massive platforms able to launch player controlled snubcrafts. Isn't it what we're looking for? If people will get their money refunded due to locking caps, they will have more money --> they will play in more corners of the server + they will provide more rp on forum

Geb faces Core, who occasionally faces Outcasts. You'd have to balance OCs with the Core to keep them in line the new Core ships, and then since OCs go just about everywhere you'd have to adjust Kusari, Liberty, Gallic, IMG, and Colonial ships to compensate for the OC changes. You see where this is going?
You can ask for the mod to be shaped around the Geb, but don't get mad at me when Haste doesn't even look up from his DOTA 2 match when you ask him to do it.
Changing a little turn rate number is probably a lot easier.
