You can say that again! Although I havent been active much, I did roam the forums from time to time while I was "inactive".
And about SC, I have a high expectation of it and I would really want it to be successful, though IMO that doesnt have to mean the end of disco.
It can, sure, but I think people will still be on Disco, regards of the SC success.

Though I'm having low expectations for that game to be honest.
But if there'll be a serious Roleplay server with a nice community, and Discovery won't be anymore, I'll consider to give it a try.

Discovery dies and gets reborn every day.
Its server population has had a HUGE drop since I started playing. And most of them are not coming back.
People with low-end computers will probably still play Freelancer / Discovery. I certainly know I'll remain on disco until I get a computer that can run Star Citizen.

Just because its there means nothing. A year ago the thing wa always maxed out from 9am-5pm usually. Now it reaches 160 max.
With a low of 20 players, while used to be the low was 50-70.
Server's lost a lot of players. Star citizen will more or less be the death blow to disco. If there are that many players left once it comes back.
The guy who is making starcitizen being the designer of Freelaner, Diso being the most well known FL mod, and Disco mod not being copyrighted, I hace a hunch we are gonna see a lot of the features of diso in Starlancer.

Those specs are a real problem, you're gonna need at least a fairly decent mid-range computer to even run it.

That, and literally none of the space sims the guy has ever made have been bad.

And the only real notable features disco has added are cloaking, hyperdrive, and docking on ships. Oh and we all love TZ. Disco adds almost nothing except extra ships and systems to the game. Not really any features. from disco to add.
QQ disco is dying. Empire at War killed Disco. EVE killed Disco. Freeworlds killed Disco. X3 killed Disco. Halo killed Disco. Anything space related killed Disco
