Having worked with Luis a bit more on the above textures, we believe that this phase has now been completed. Though he hasn't yet uploaded the latest versions on p3d (or if so, I don't have the links), here are some Imgur previews: http://imgur.com/9oXORcq|http://imgur.com/mhGv9Ca (Brigand | Corse). Please note that the blank/black textures you see are not missing textures, rather p3d is not displaying them properly.
Aside from implementation with hitboxes or whatever, the last part of the process for us all is the name. Cataphracte has been eliminated, so unless there are other suggestions, it rests between Lance and Alize. Most of the comments that I have seen or recall are of the latter, both for and against. Opinions are still welcome
"You see what your knowledge tells you you're seeing. ... how, what you think the universe is, and how you react to that in everything you do, depends on what you know. And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."
- James Burke, The Day the Universe Changed (1985)
Woo woo! I will stick around in the [UC] at least long enough to see this thing in action! "Trade Wind" doesn't really work for me, so I'll go with Lance.

May I suggest Voltigeur? Seems like it may be fitting, seeing as all the other ships in the GB/UC Line are named after some sort of French Soldier/Para-Military Unit.
The Voltigeur was built from the need for more firepower. As Transport captains demanded more security in the Taus, the pirates demanded more firepower in their ships. BHF13 "Cuirassier" was a work horse for the Brigands for many years but was often outclassed by the Lawful's ships. After months of building the "Voltigeur" was born. Saving both time and money the "Voltigeur" was built onto the chassis of a BHF13 "Cuirassier" With more armor and a stronger core (courtesy of The Council) and enough guns to make a transport thing twice about trying to run the "Voltigeur" is expected to replace the BHF13 "Cuirassier" quickly dominating the Gallic Piracy Markets in the coming months.
Corse
The Unione Corse have proven time and time again. Less Armor + More Speed = Winning Combo however. There are times were less is more. The Voltigeur Noir is a prime example. having less armor and being faster then its Brigand cousin. the Noir doesn't slack in the fire power department. Boasting a faster turn and considerably more luxurious interior the Noir meets all the requirements of a Unione Corse vessel. Style and Effectiveness.
Alternative Corse
As the threats to Nox distribution in Sirius began to rise. It quickly became apparent that the CB14 "Cuirassier Noir" just wasn't cutting it. Between Outcast and Colonial patrols in the Taus and House Military and Police in the Core Systems, something with a little more firepower was needed. Looking to the Brigands as they had for years they received the plans for their newest ship and set to work at breaking down the schematics and keeping what was needed and tossing what wasn't. This ship is the fruit of that labor and is expected to make up a majority of the Corse's Sector wide in a few short months.
Those latest textures... Feels like I've respawned in heaven. Very well done!
Drop us a name and I'll toss you some money for your efforts from my funds.

The Corse and Colonials (secretly) aren't enemies. Just felt like I needed to point that out.
I'm sticking to my guns with the Alize as the shipname receiving my vote.

I've re-written these a few times and will likely continue to do so, but for now here's a draft copy on two possible infocards. I've so far only shared this among the rest of the UC HC and expect that we may produce a more refined text once we start to organize the roleplay behind the actual ingame implementation.
NOTE: As a final name has yet to be decided upon I've simply added a model code as part of the draft. (e.g the "CL22" Mistral Noir), and <text> boxes are naturally incomplete/undecided words or phrases based on that or the entire thing being a draft.
CV31 "<Shipname>" Union Corse Very Heavy Fighter
As the doors of Sirius operations began to open, Pilots of the Union Corse sought a means to strengthen their capabilities, while maintaining their 'More speed' attitude towards heavier <armor/subarmor> plating.
Commissioned as a means to gain an edge against the Outcasts and the other potential threats of Sirius, the <shipname UC> was designed to strike harder and faster than it's Cuirassier predecessor in less familiar environments.
BV31 "<Shipname>" Brigand Very Heavy Fighter
In a poetic reversal, Brigand shipwrights conspired with <Corse/Corsican> engineers to redevelop a more conventional design from the <shipname UC>.
With a strengthened alloy plating and higher tolerance for the deep-space environments beyond the Gallic border, the result was as satisfying as grinding an opponent into space dust.

granted its not open combat but I am willing to bet that if a Colonial met a Convoy of UC hauling Nox, things would get Shooty just saying
On Topic:
I still like my Voltigeur
Edit: Also, Reading your Info cards I realized, in your situation the UC made the ship before the brigands. From what I read in other Info cards its the Brigands that made it and the UC stripped what they didn't want.
