Quote:1: What's your intention exactly? Why did you just copypaste the synopsis from the wikipage of the FA? When someone starts a faction the backgroundstory should be atleast a bit unique and not copying something. But that's common these days it seems. So right now it looks more like a lol faction which the FA doesn't deserve.
We want to develop as we go, rather than starting with some pre-existing story. As it was said before, we want to represent the NPC faction as best as we can and we hope on developing our roleplay more on the ecounters that will happen, rather than pre-existing stuff.
Quote:2: Do you intend to use Gaian tech by default without even RP ing with them? Also. The LWB is not friendly to the FA. Neutral at best. Or is there any Forum RP i am not aware of?
We hope for some forum roleplay with Gaians, for now the technology was based purely on the Techchart, the lines that are labeled as "Not in common use" will be roleplayed individually.
We will change the LWB diplomacy, we guided ourselves by the techchart in this one particular instance.
Quote:While it would be awesome to see farmers in town, I'm afraid of seeing this thing as an ALT faction created only to ease the agenda of some another faction fighting for the Emprah.
We can assure you this is not our goal. While Farmers are still part of the imperialistic movement, we want to shift our focus more towards piracy and also the Blood Dragons.
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Ok. Still no reason to copypaste the complete Wikipage. But yeah. I am more thrilled to see some forum work from you.
Also. Can you post something more eyfriendly both in colour and largeness? For an old fart like me it's hard to read.
I find it disappointing to see that your first diplomatic move is to get tech from the Sairs. This might be a problem with DIsco as a whole, but I find it particularly disappointing from a faction who's rp is based on xenophobia and superiority. Yes, past FA factions have had tech from the sairs and gaians.(at a time where there wasn't a super-full line the FA can access). That being said, to come out of the door with a move to get Sair tech makes it feel like the rp with the sairs is just to get tech. You really don't need tech from anyone.

In fact, our first diplomatic move is to establish relations with Corsairs. Pepe was the first person we've talked to and he agreed for a forum roleplay, and as soon as that's finished or at least advanced enough we will move to other parties, such as Hogosha for example.

Yes, and look where it led us, FA has been dead for years now. Since Ken Geki is the new person assuming command, he is roleplayed as a visionary and someone who actually believed that being parochial and narrow-minded is not a particularly good idea. The Alliance needs allies and as we've said before, Sairs are the first ones.

We've talked to TBH already and we will make this a bigger cooperation in the Sigmas, it will take some time though. The tech is just icing on the cake.

Actually, Corsairs have one of the best ships we could hope for and that's the Centurion. The Hogosha VHF is laughable as far as its stats are concerned and our only other reasonable alternative is the Eagle which, while good in its own right, is not well suited for Kusari, where 90% of the snubs are Heavy Fighters that can outturn an Eagle without a problem. Centurion on the other hand, even with 90%, might be a really good choice. You must also consider that FA in the beginning will probably be much lower in numbers than KNF for example and if we were to go for, for example, raids, we'd need that technological advantage. Also, please do keep in mind that this is not a tech acquisition, but exchange. We will be giving the Corsairs access to our ships as well and soon hopefully submit a player request to bump the core on them for Corsairs to 90%. We've been told by some people from TBH that the Corsairs would like to try out the Mamoru and we have no objections for that.

Are you honestly suggesting that RP for tech is not real RP?
Please (:

I'll be the one to say it, if you don't like the faction RP, then don't play the faction. They are extreme nationalist farmers and changing that is changing the entire faction all together. Also, linking RP style to faction activity is dodgy, because in saying that you can also say that "the Congress activity is gained through their RP style", when in actuality, they have a lot of members to fulfill their activity needs. On top of this, the Farmers Alliance has been allied with the Hogosha and Samura for yonks now, why aren't they, the Kusari citizens the Alliance aims to promote, the first subject of interaction?

If you're upset that your faction isn't as "PvPcapable", then maybe you shouldn't play the faction. You can do so much more with the Alliance Faction in terms of RP, don't get so caught up on fighters and garbage. Just have some fun trying to convert Kusari citizens to your cause, rather than not having a decent fighter.

Well. The FA is not dead because they are xenophobic. That's clearly no reason. Look at other factions like the LWB, Unioners ect.. Not xenophobic and almost dead. I could tell you why the FA is dead for years but that would deserve an own thread.

Oh. The Sairs are clearly an ally but not the first one. Without Samura for example there wouldn't be any FA ship. No supprt from Samura would mean the FA is almost without money. And so far i didn't see any RP with Samura at all. And the Hogosha are supporters of the FA and a close ally since forever. The Corsairs are allies because of the AFA RP'ing with them years ago. Before 2010. So saying the Corsairs are the first ones is just wrong and Zelots point is still valid
Your feedback has been acknowledged and we will hope to improve our gameplay on basis of that.
Though, just to quickly refer to one of the points made.
Quote:No supprt from Samura would mean the FA is almost without money. And so far i didn't see any RP with Samura at all.
Our current RP was made with parties on either of two conditions - they met us in game and something meaningful happened (Hogosha) or we needed something from them and had something to offer (Corsairs). Samura hasn't yet filled either of those as we haven't had any encounters with Samura yet and we don't have anything to request from them. As FA, according to the lore, is basically Samura's puppy, we'd need Samura to ask something from us to start anything meaningful.
