I did some calcs a while ago, my project initially started with the intent to correct mass, diameter and escape velocity data on planet infocards to something more reasonable, wasn't too hard as the formulas for that are there already. Later I went on population calculations which got a bit more subjective as I tried to count in various modifying factors. Here it is. Feel free to ask question if you have any.
What about Miura on Okinawa, being filled weekly with more and more "hired workers" from the refugee camps of Pittsburgh?
Also, regarding Honshu, GMG is actually the result of a massive emigration from that planet to the nearby Crow Nebula, due to an agriculture crisis in the 3rd century A.S.

Yes, I know. As of now, a reverse flow is also ongoing, with the youths of the GMG who were born into it abandoning them en masse for better prospects. Planet Honshu's infocard I believe.
Thyzul, that looks really interesting as well. I'll be sure to give it a closer look tomorrow when I'm not using a phone.
Great work Jamie compiling all the info into a centralized thread. I have spent countless workhours on wikis and I feel sad that our wiki is so underdeveloped.
Regarding the numbers for each planet, I'm fairly sure that not all planets had population data in older versions. Must have been added in .87 version or something.

There are a few planets that are supposed to not have a large population. Nevers, for example. It's mainly covered in water though, so there's not much land to have people living on.
To my knowledge, Gallia was actually quite slow to populate to other planets. That's why IDF has such a high population. The other systems were discovered and exploited, but it all went back to IDF and the production there. Only when the boom of population get to extremes did they have to start pushing people to other planets or to the space colonies. Hell, there 2 or 3 of those stations floating around in IDF alone.
Personally, I think it was left over from when Igiss wrote up the infocards.
