You should also get rid of this "face-like" head which remembers alot on the Matrix drones. The AI as it is, does not have any human relation. I'd suggest just to choose one "eye" similar to the current drone ingame and to form the head oval general.

I'd argue on this as this "head-like" parts resemble to me an optimal form of a sensor-filled head with binocular vision and ability to rotate. Actually! If this part is removed from model, then it could be used as a turret, thus, the head will actually rotate and follow the mouse.

Well in case it can be modelled as a turret, it might be really awesome. About the sensor thing, even a good idea, they shouldn't appear as a "human-face" or have a reference to this.

+1 for that. There are a little too many spikes.
Other than that I love the idea of AI's developing after what they observe and taking the best of everything in the process of it (Insect eyes for optimal fov, aerodynamic like a nosediving bird for optimal locomotion in an atmosphere, etc.)

@Antagonist: Don't understand where you are coming from with "human-face". Although, yes it has lens/eyes such like the spiders (its where i got the idea from) but nothing close to the matrix drones; to me.
We also can have something like "scanner-beam" effect for it. When shooting, it will be periodically emitting a beam as like if it was probing space/ distance/ etc. Sure thing, dealing no damage.
