first, please give me a moment to introduce myself. My name is Liam Byrne, official ambassador of the Independent Miners Guild. I'm establishing contact to you today in regards of a very interesting material we were lucky to find lately.
As you might or might not have heard via your network of informants, there had been a Nomad raid in Tau-23 on Tuesday which caught our miners and transport captains by surprise. Still, with the assistance of a few allied vessels, we were able to push them out again. During these brawls, IMG pilots were reading strange signals on their radar, as ... something was emitting strange radio waves.
The wing leader ordered some of the pilots to investigate, and as it turned out, what we found seems to be some sort of ore, ore that neither I nor anyone else of us have ever seen before in our lifetime. Keeping in mind that this ore appeared coinstantaneously with the arrival of the nomads, our scientists got the strong belief this ore must be of alien origin as well, and that it must be connected to the sudden appearance of the nomads. Unfortunately, we couldn't gather much of it, but we think it is more than enough to conduct research on it.
As the IMG has by no means personnel expertised in scientific study of alien structures, we wish to give the samples we could collect into more professional hands. And whose hands could be more professional concerning nomads and their strange remains than the Order's ones? Hence, if you agree with it, we'd like to hand over the ore exemplars to you, so that you can start with your more expertised studies on it.
What do you say?
With best regards, Liam Byrne
IMG Ambassador

Julia Morrows here, IMG convoy leader. Under the cover of a Freeport 11 supply and relief shipment, we managed to deliver some dangerous and partly unknown specimen and crystaline structures to the Order. The transfer was successfully completed near Mu.
Thank you for sending that freighter.
The Guild wishes to stay in contact about these findings and we hope to get an answer to the request sent by the IMG as soon as possible.

Reportedly our freighter has reached its destination and our scientist have begun preliminary examination of cargo you have delivered to us. The powercell and remains are something we are accustomed to handling, more curious was load of crystalines. It is not confirmed as of yet but it appears to be linked to material involved in composition of Daam K'Vosh artifacts. This type of artifacts which are contraband in Sirian colonies, both active and dormant. What speaks against theory is that it lacks sufficient toughness as the rumored finished product is: alien artifacts and non-organic structures are extremely resilient even to directed energy weapon's fire (yet not indestructable).
They do not appear to possess the same durabiltiy as artifacts in question. It cannot be ruled out at this point that material is "raw" material that Daam K'Vosh utilized widely in their empire for production of anything from day to day items to starships and weapons. Why its emergence happened in Tau's during Nomad incursion is unknown as Slomon K'Hara (Nomads) species employ entirely organic matter in their vessels, leaving behind but traces of their biological make up that once used to be part of complex engineered marvels of their onboard systems.
There are few practical industrial processes we can employ with the artifacts at the momenth, other than recycling said artifacts into among other things equipment permitting us to study Nomads and their Creators alike in finer detail. Further study will reveal whether our link is in fact correct and the same processes could be applied to those crystals found or perhaps improve upon our current tech.
