Congratulations operatives. Now we can move on to stage two and prepare for Operation Basilisk. For now make sure the devices are secured and locked away aboard Juneau. When the time comes we will transfer them to the required area.
As for Operation Basilisk. I will consult with Fleet Admiral Jones and we will finalize the plans.
[PRIORITY]: Omega - Very High
[ENCRYPTION]: Omega - Very High
Operatives.
With the success of Project Basilisk, I'm going to start shifting attention to a smaller, more focused background project that I initiated halfway through Basilisk's time in the spotlight. This initiative, codenamed 'Lansing', is an attempt to counter Gallia's heavy use of the 'Perilous'-class gunboat that we're more than well aware of by developing a hybrid between the famous 'Archer'-class Siege Cruisers in our force and the reliable 'Defiant'-class gunboats that have supported out warships in numerous engagements.
The data currently surrounding this prototype class of vessel is small in size as is, though the technical layouts and projected personal information has been compiled and will be placed ahead of the packet containing the main centralized portion of this document.
It goes without saying that this project is absolutely top secret, and any information related to this project outside of authorized civilian viewing of tests found outside of the Alaska system, Zone-21 or Zone-63 will be traced. I don't know about you, but I pride myself on my skills at tracing, and anyone found to have leaked information will likely find themselves with a nice prison sentence, among other things.
Project Lansing is an endeavor to create a hybrid class of vessels unique to the Liberty Navy, in that they would be classed as light destroyers. This new vessel, dubbed the 'Sumner'-class, will be a set of heavy gunboats/light cruisers that would fit into the destroyer category planned ot act as reconnaissance and supporting warships for the Fleet's main heavy hitters.
Armament
The proposed loadout for this vessel would be a large allotment of gunship turrets (about eight to be exact) and a single cruiser-based turret to act as a pseudo main battery. The main selling point of the ship would be the two perpendicularly mounted side-axle torpedo launchers built into the hull which sound be fired at any vessel, structure or body within the missile's range. A very heavily armed warship, and a homage to the old days.
Other Details
So far, this class of vessel is still in planning, and no structural base has been started, although there is a small Defiant-class gunboat (L.N.S. Jasmine Creek [GB-384]) being worked on in the small drydock at Juneau. Project Lansing is planned to finish with three vessels rolling off the line, each with their own division to be assigned to.
The L.N.S. Stanly, planned to be an open warship to be commanded by any ranking officer in the fleet who holds command of cruisers or similar vessels, and is slated to be equipped with heavy ordinance launchers in addition to standard torpedoes.
The L.N.S. Johnston, similarly planned to be an open warship, this vessel was to be designed to more effectively use it's main and secondary batteries for offensive use against gunships and small cruisers.
The L.N.S. Laffey is the third and final planned Sumner-class destroyer slated to be commanded by Commander Fredrick Becton who has served the R&D department faithfully through the turmoil of Project Basilisk. He will be given personal command of the warship, and his Executive Officer, chosen by him, is slated to be Lieutenant Commander Michael J. Prowley, who has himself worked hard to be given the honor.
This is all of the information available on Project Lansing at this moment. More information will be available once the Project is underway.

Greetings Officers,
with Captain Murray's resignation as the leader of the Division, Commander Ethan Taylor is now in charge of the Research and Development.
Keep on doing the good work.
Rear Admiral Alexander Reyes
Liberty Navy's 5th Fleet
With me as the new head of the division I hope the 5th will submit some good and needed improvements to the Liberty Military, the Navy and the Army. The way of the R&D will improve. We will take the words "Research" and "Development" seriously.
What does "Research" mean?
Research means that we search for something. For advancement.
What does "Development" mean?
Development means that we found the advancement. And that we build that advancement!
We will, I repeat, WILL search for new ways to improve the Navy, from advanced tactics to new weapons, from hidden ways behind the enemies' lines to the open breakthrough. We will create better tactics, we will build advanced weapons, We will find the hidden way and WE find the weakness of the foe.
There are already some ideas and future projects on my desk which will be discussed and handled very soon. To give you a small insight in some projects:
---Project Destroyer, an advanced fighter
---Project Grasshopper, an advanced ship
---Project Starbeam, and advanced weapon
Did I catched your curiosity?
I'm looking forward to a good cooperation
Signed
Cmdr. Taylor Commander Ethan Taylor

Within this message I will update the current state of operations and projects. Please look into them to keep updated.
A small explanation: Operations are orders in which you have to work in the public, you need to behave and observe. Technical knowledge is not needed.
Projects are orders in which you have to advance current tech or to develop new tech.
Priority:Low Objective: Test Super Heavy Fighters as a new type of fighter. Briefing: 'Project Destroyer' contains two steps. The first step is to test several SHFs with the 'Destroyer' loadout to proof if it's relevant or not. The following SHFs are to be tested:
The 'Spatial': This ship comes from the 'Eagle' shipline. Get one, equip it and test it.
The 'Osprey': This vessel's origin are the Zoners. Get one, equip it and test it.
The 'OSC-Ferry' The ferry is located at Curacao. Same as before: Get it, equip it and test it. The Loadout:
All weapons are either Flashpoints (not the heavy) or Vengeances.
The CD-slots are equipped with Maxim-Chainguns.
Rest is your choice. Leading member: 'Driva'. Assigned Members: 'Ash', 'Artemis', 'Arvestian'
Priority:Very High Objective: We need more power to keep the ships running. Briefing: The IRG got a power cell, the Ingenuus Power Cell. We need an equal cell, but more powerful. Go and get a IPC and create a better one. Leading Member: 'Arvestian' Assigned Members: --- NOTE: You will be out of Liberty for some weeks maybe.
Priority:Very High Objective: Help the Logistics with the construction of the facility. Briefing: I got a message that the Logistics are bringing materials to construct our labs on ERC. Help them. Once they are finished, our labs will open and we can start to research and develop tech stuff.
Second: Cloaks are about to be produced, 'Driva' will manage the cloaks, all will bring stuff to the location. Leading Member: 'Ash' Assigned Members: 'XXX'
Priority:Low Objective: Design a new Super Heavy Fighter. Briefing: 'Project Destroyer' contains two steps. The second step is to design a SHF based on the 'Guardian' shipline. Features: It has to be fast in turning. That will cost this ship some weapons but that can bring us the advantage against the numbers of the GRN. Estimated techchart:
Weapons/Turrets: 2/4
Torpedo/CD: 2
Mine: 1
CM: 1
Hull Points: ~23.000
Energy charge/full: ~3400/28000
Hold size: ~200
Nanobots/Shield Batteries: ~230/230
Turn Rate: ~60
Costs: ~5.000.000 SC Leading Member: 'Driva' Assigned Members: ---
Priority:Low Objective: Create a light Carrier, designed to jump in the first place. Briefing: This ship should be designed after the "Archer" shipline. It will be equipped with self-defensive or supportive guns only. Estimated Techchart:
Guns/Turrets: 0/13 (2h/4p/7l)
CM: 1-2
Hull points: ~1.500.000
Hold size: ~2000
Special equipment: Jump Drive and Hyperspace Scanner
Shield Batteries: ~2000
Costs: ~480.000.000 SC Leading Member: 'Driva' Assigned Members: ---
Priority:High Objective: Advancement of an 'Overlord'. Briefing: The Admiral wants a new flagship since the 'Odyssey' went missing. We are questioned to create one. Features: 2 extra Heavy slots, 1 extra CM launcher, a new Engine (blue), a white Hull. Estimated costs: ~300.000.000 SC + ~500.000.000 SC for the 'Overlord' Leading Member: 'Driva' Assigned Members: ---
Priority:High Objective: Creating a scanner which can detect everything Briefing: After the Gallic fleet emerged too fast and the Jump-Drive got too much popularity I want to see every movement before it happens and after it happens. We need to construct a scanner which is able to either scan and follow jump signatures, from a JH up to a JD. Estimated costs: 260,000,000 SC Leading Member: 'Driva' Assigned Members: 'Ash', 'Artemis'
The project's goal is to fill the gap between the Defiant-class and the Archer-class so we can have a more manoeuvrable ship that can hit somewhat hard on lighter capital ships. The first task is to choose a ship that can be easily accessed for us. I've chosen the CTE-12400 Condor-class civilian gunboat. I send every important data about the class.
"Designed with a generous power supply and adequate armor, the CTE-12400 Condor is still a rare sight in Sirius. The ship is a new design adapted from an obsolete Zoner model. Built and maintained by various organisations unable to develop or acquire military ships, the Condor is typically used for heavy escort, or, in the hands of terrorists, to deal with a heavy escort."- Short description.
Technical information:
Guns/Turrets: 0 / 6 (0/2)
Other equipment:
1 Cruise Distruptor Slot (3 CD: all of them capable of fitting torpedo launchers)
1 Countermeasure Slot
Hull strength: 125,000 (150,000-155,000) Cargo space: 450 units (500) Nanobots/Batteries: 350/350 (300/400) Max. impulse speed: 80 m/s (80) Max. thrust speed: 140 m/s (130) Max. cruise speed: 350 m/s Power output: 500,000 u (300,000) Power recharge: 50,000 u/s(40,000)
Yellow numbers are expected after the project is done.
First of all we do work from what we have so we will try to test existing weapon systems on the "Hummingbird" -this will be the name of the ship- If we found a fitting one -we are aiming for a torpedo boat loadout so we can bomb enemy ships from distance- we can continue with the Second Phase.
Second Phase: Mounting
Our long-term plan is to mount 3 torpedoes on the Hummingbird, for this, we can give up some of the powercore and the energy recharge because it isn't really needed for launching torpedoes. This way we can have a smaller generator and more ammunition can be fitted.
For now 2 Nova Torpedo launcher and 1 Incapacitator Torpedo launcher would be enough for testing, but first we have to use the already accessable ones on the market.
Third Phase: Defense
In the near future we will need a stronger hull and/or shield, because we have to stand the hammering from the light capitals somehow. But this isn't the most important task for now.
Losses
After balancing the ship's new and old systems I think the agility won't change much.
We will lose 4 of the 6 turret mounts for the torpedo launchers on the end but we have to keep that 2 at least to have a minimal defense agaist smaller space vessels. The energy output will drop... Not a small amount but we don't need it that much.
