With the tutorials made for player bases, I thought I'd create a spreadsheet where you fill in your PoB's information and it would give you details on your cargo management, import pricing, consumption rates etc. Take into consideration that this sheet is meant to be used when your base is at 100% health. I have not (and probably will not) add in functionality for repair speeds and such. Just dump all three repair items and wait a while.
The file is a Google Sheets thing, so it's best if you download it and then upload to your own account for your own use. When you look at it, it may seem overwhelming. I'll itemize each piece of it so you can understand what I have created. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like:
All the information displayed in that screenshot is of my own player base, just as an example. There's hidden calculations and code everywhere to make this guy work, so bear with me. Everything highlighted in orange is what you're supposed to edit. I'll go through these one by one in a list format.
Select the Core Level of your base. This will adjust the number of Crew and the consumption rates of FOWRA.
Storage Modules
Choose how many storage modules you have, this will change the Total Cargo number.
Resupply Transport Cargo
This number is normally 5,000, unless you're using a different transport to restock your base - or a Barge.
FOWRA Runtime
If you'd like your base's FOWRA supplies to last two weeks, put 14 into this field. We'll get back to this later.
Shield
Self explanatory. Put in your fuel quantity and variant. It will show the shield duration beneath..
Import Pricing
If you have contracted others to restock your base, here's where you would put the prices for FOWRA.
Seconds Per Run
Time how long it takes you to leave your base and bring back a run of Food. Record it as seconds in the field, and do the same with the other necessities.
Misc Cargo Manifest
This field is mainly for those player bases that sell ores and/or RP commodities. Pick an item and list the maximum amount you store. This does not include items like ammunition, nanobots, shield batteries or equipment of any kind.
Once all the information has been put in, you'll find that the rest of the sheet fills itself out. The key things to look out for are the Food, Oxygen, Water and Reinforced Alloy numbers under Cargo Management. When you edit the FOWRA Runtime, you'll find that those four numbers change to reflect how much you need to run for the specified time. In my case, the number is set to 40 days. All the misc commodities, FOWRA numbers, shield fuel will all be subtracted from the total cargo to show how much cargo you will have left. The import pricing, resupply transport cargo and timed runs will give you an idea of how much it costs for your base to run per day, and per period of time you set (40 days) aswell as how long it will take for you to non-stop supply your base until it's full.
At this point, you'll fiddle with the FOWRA duration to try get the Free Cargo number to as close to zero as possible. The colour will change to orange when you close and to red when you're over.
I understand if this is a little unorganised, but any feedback on this would be appreciated. Just wanted to create a neat little tool for players to use for their PoBs. Any Google Sheets savvy people may download and add in whatever they wish. My knowledge is limited, however I accomplished what I wanted to do with this.
I guess (bitter)vets should know about this thing. Honestly, I don't know if that information is relevant at the moment. But I just leave it here for an alternative.
