Quote:I heard a lot of threats to beat something to death then people doesn't mean it. Sometimes in joke form, sometimes becouse they are overreacting and on the heat. It's quite common. But of course you assume that I'm the one who is seriuos. This is a case of discrimination. Don't you think?
Well I gotta agree with one part there. On this forum people who brag about having shot people in the face in iraq, people who tell people to "go die" or "go kill yourself" arent likely to see a sanction. At least not those that have commonly done it till now. Personally I consider those things to be worse than a well deserved "f*ck you".
Its not really about if it is seriously considered to be done, I think its more about hte message that is being put across with it. I havent seriously considered ****ing anyone here, either, if that is the pertinent question.
Quote:Nope, they are not banned here. Only nazi swastikas. Even UNESCO defends some it's heritageit but oh well... who cares right?
Yeah who cares. I still see no necessity to use them.
Quote:I don't think that learning to hate someone else or using same discimination / hate methods somehow makes it to be tolerance. That is all what I tried to point out.
You mean... like... tolerating the banalization and relativisation of stalinism?
Quote:Now I didn't mentioned hated. I said officialy condemned. That's two diffrent things. If it would be officialy condemned maybe some families which suffered from repressions would get their compensations atleast in some form. And would be respected by some parties who still carries the guilt of it.
Wasnt much different between 1945 and 1968 in germany. The main reason is you cant shut up half the country in jail... even if they deserved it its not possible. Paying reparations to victims is not only a matter if your own population would accept to pay reparations to someone else, if they suffered from the same oppressor as them. Its also a matter if you can afford to do so or not.
Quote:Then you sit in RHA main chats, you see quite a people using it as a jumping placdram to SCRA. In skype people don't really mind their "image". And believe me, I saw pretty much enough there.
Somehow I still find it hard to believe that this alone is your reason for posting the stuff you did. I saw a lot of racist stuff posted and it never made me want to defend stalinism or protest about its condemnation.
Quote:Now sorry. It's 4 am here. I live in GMT +2 hours from London time. ANd I have to be at the uni at 8 AM

Either way, Godwin's Law, again, in less than two pages.
To lock just becose people are arguin on something? Nor I nor karlotta acted disrespectuf. See I can diagree with people about their views, but it doesn't neccesery mean I'm going to disrespect a person for it. We can still have a discussion. Is that so hard to realize?
