' Wrote:So, let's assume there's a known pirate with Junker ID flying near your IMG ship. Can you just take him down or you have to wait until he makes another demand?
You can take him down if the following conditions are met:
- IMG has a base in the system in question (condition which the IMG ID has for actively hunting pirates - this suggests they tend to just drive them away)
- The junker is not in House space - junkers may not pirate in house space, so treating them as a pirate in house space would be silly.
- You have witnessed this Junker pirate on the character you're on (or join with someone else who has been robbed or attacked by him/her).
IMG has bases in Tau 23, Tau 31, Dublin, Newcastle, Cambridge, Omega 3, Omega 7, Orkney, Magellan and Coronado. Keep in mind that you still need to roleplay - something along the lines of "Well, well. Look who's back. Hoping to rob another transport? Your luck has run out today!" *zappage*
would suffice I think.

I believe this is incorrect. In some other topic, if i remember correctly, Dab was very clear about it. Myself, i am 100% sure this is meta-gaming, but worst of all, it's against rule 0. Very against rule 0's spirit, if not the letter of it.
Don't do it.
Do you see the groundhog there? No? Me neither. But, it's there nonetheless.
Well, if i remember it right, he said it's bad only if it doesn't allow other players to claim that bounty. But the IMG can't claim bounties so that's a bit useless anyway.
Allrighty, then, but how about the self-defense and the protecting of traders part? Do i actually have to wait for the shooting to begin so that particular pirate met in, let's say, some sigma, can hover around until the end of time?
UPD:
>- IMG has a base in the system in question (condition which the IMG ID has for actively hunting pirates - this suggests they tend to just drive them away)
Also, no.
■Can hunt pirates and terrorists within Bretonia, the Tau and Omega systems, or within systems where IMG has a base, or in self-defense, or to protect another trader.
