Based on past actions by the community and the developers, I have decided to write a short tutorial for those in need.
How to Demolish a Game's Community
The first step is to do something that is disliked on a large scale but that will spread like a virus to those who give in to it and begin doing so themselves.
The next step is to sit back and watch as the developers come up with a response to the issue that only really negatively impacts everyone else on the server.
Before everyone goes apeshit pointing fingers screaming "So it was you! Crucify him!", I wasn't even playing the game when all this happened, I had taken a break for nearly a year. This whole situation has no effect on me; I made nothing and lost nothing during that time. I'm merely making an observation.
Seriously, you guys need to stop doing all kinds of crap in response to issues that does nothing to stop the wrongdoers and hits the legitimate players the hardest.
If people obtained something illegitimately, they will just obtain it illegitimately again. The only people losing out are the ones who put in the time and effort to build their characters.
No coz then that is giving in to the hackers and letting them win. That is a very weak gameplay, if some good / new players have to be lost thru rage quitting because their chars were deleted due to rollback then so be it. It's a price worth paying to be rid of hacked equipment.

I am sorry...but what you just said was dumb...
"sorry people cheated so we are going to make your ships go away and then you will quite and miss out on all this fun....BUT IT'S SOOOOO WORTH IT"
Really? REALLY?
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I SAID, IT MATTERS WHAT I MEANT!!!!
Enough of the "waagh this kills the Disco" and the like. Doomsaying does nothing positive at all. If you don't like the state of the community and server, no one's forcing you to be part of it.
This thread has run its course. The rollback is all said and done. If you have further concerns about the state of your characters (and not about the state of the community), please contact the administration team.
