Nestled away at the end of a dim-lit corridor in a lower level of Kyoto Base, passerby, or those intentionally looking, would find a small room, marked by a sliding door made of plastic and wood, fashioned to look like a traditional bamboo/paper door. Above the door hung a small, lit up sign that read in Kanji and English:
Katsuragi Bakufu Recruit Center
On the door itself, another small sign was posted, reading:
"Katsuragi Shogunate Military Recruit Depot.
If you wish to give yourself to a noble struggle, the struggle for a strong and truly independent Kusari, and you wish to stand shoulder to shoulder with your brothers and sisters, the brave warriors who have fought for centuries to defend our cause and right the wrongs of the past, we will give you the tools, and we will prepare you mentally and physically. You will be pushed to your very limits, and beyond.
Your path to glory will be long and arduous, but if you truly dedicate yourselves to the ways of the warrior, you will succeed, and together we will restore our nation to it's true state".
If after reading the posted signs, one were to slide the Shoji doors open, and enter the "office", they would find a metal desk in front of another set of Shoji doors, and guarded by two stoic looking "Katsuragi Dragons", clad in somewhat loose-fit, black colored kimono robes, modern combat boots, and crimson colored 'ornate looking' modern body armor vests. An observant person would also notice that these men had daggers tucked into their waistlines, and compact sub machineguns slung under their arms. They'd never say a word, save for directing any who entered toward the stack of cheap datapads sitting on the desk, and then back into the corridor once they were done.

He wasn't really sure what he was looking for, the taller, somewhat lean man making his way through the halls of Kyoto Base, stepping past a sliding door made to look more traditional. Normally, he'd simply walk past it and pay it little mind, but curiosity got the better of him, forcing himself into a quick backpedal, his sharp eyes scanning across the small sign posted at the top, then lower towards the sign directly upon the door. It caught his eye.
The dark-haired Kusari man viewed it carefully, reading it over as he allowed the words to roll over within his mind, thinking about it quickly. He had suffered in the fighting recently, and his current.. methods of attempting to deal with it had so far, been unable to gain him any allies, and fewer enemies that knew his face, his name. He wanted something to help with his own goals, something to push him forward, to fix the wrongs of Kusari. Maybe that was why he was drawn to the Blood Dragons in the first place, but these people - the Katsuragi Bakufu, they.. interested him, to say the least.
Within a split decision, he took the step, the doors sliding open as he made his way in, digits clasping around the datapad directed to him by one of the men whom he only assumed were guards. He sat down, deciding to fill it out quickly.
Recruit Application Wrote: Name:Tsuchimikado Age:23 Place of Birth:Space, on a Cruiser. Biography:I suppose there isn't much to say. I was born on a Naval Forces Cruiser, nothing exactly special about it, it wasn't locked in a battle with another ship against all odds; I was born, my Father sent my Mother off to live on New Tokyo and I lived my life from then on, with little hardship until I came of age, wherein my father wanted me to train for the Naval Forces, to 'make him proud', like all fathers wish to see of their first born sons.
A few years later, I chose to join the Kusari Naval Forces - a fact I am not proud of, but due to personal pressure and my own decision not to exacerbate my own Family Heritage, I joined their Research Division under my Father. My time in the Naval Forces was harsh, nigh-pointless as they stifled my creativity and inventiveness, but it opened my eyes.
With the recent.. issues with Gallia, I have abandoned the Naval Forces. Their goals are skewered, their Shirei weak and blind to what can be done. While I have never held any love for the Blood Dragons as a whole, I believe their cause is just and true to Kusari's beliefs and ideals. Why the Katsuragi Dragons?:I do not always see eye-to-eye with your average Blood Dragon, after looking over the Katsuragi Bakufu I believe I may be able to provide more by aligning with the Katsuragi than simply being another face within the Blood Dragons. I personally think the Blood Dragons need more discipline, and I hope the Katsuragi Dragons will be able to provide that Discipline. What skills can you bring?:I will admit, my skills are not as great in direct combat as I would hope. I am a Kagaku-sha. My skills belong in a lab, researching new weapons, devices.. But at the same time, I am a Senjutsu-ka and Senryaku-ka thanks to my years under my Father's tutelage, but I am an expeditious abecedarian, and if I have a proper teacher, perhaps direct space-to-space combat in a Fighter may come to me easily enough, but as of this moment, I am not the strongest flier.
In addition, I have assets - I have money, and I'm good at handling said money. Admittedly, that's one of my prouder assets, other than my formidable intellect. Finally, I am in possession of a 'Kagutsuchi' Cruiser - a small amount of pride comes from that ship. Her name is 'Gurando Kenkyu', and she is, admittedly, a ship I am especially fond of. I am more than willing to pilot it in the name of the Katsuragi Dragons. In addition to my Cruiser, I am also in possession of a typical Katana, and with plenty of credits to buy myself a Nodachi, if need be. Simply put, I am capable of obtaining and learning most ships within the Blood Dragon's arsenal, with the exception of the Togo. I understand that most factions do not allow their 'rookies' to pilot more formidable craft, and I am willing to.. drydock my Cruiser, if I am required to do so.
Tsuchimikado placed the datapad down where directed, and without so much as a look back, he exited the "office" of the Katsuragi Bakufu.
