Enfield starts to appear, with nothing but a static electricity falling to the ground with a few sparks.
"Koch, its a complicated story, although we could sit and chat if we wanted. But i'm guessing that the 'sitting' part is almost appealing as not being shot."
He then sits on the floor crossing his legs like a child. Right in front of Koch while facing the ceiling
"Well, family, They're both living on on luxury liner Hawaii. I still love 'em regardless, they're my mother and farther after all but i let them be, told em only to love me and not to worry about what i do, i told 'em i'm doing a 'Black' job when i worked in Schatten. So now they're doing what parents do retire after they without their kids, Old sytle games, bingo and... Bed-stuff..."
He chuckles to himself before taking a deep breath and facing toward Koch.
"Now the Rheinswehr is a different story of my life. After Schatten, i thought i needed a few Field tests and wanted to explore the place for myself. And so i did, i was presented with the Uniform and found myself inside a Wraith in no time. Anyone asked about the Augmentation, i just said it was a factory accident."
He then starts to fiddle with his fingers.
"But you want to know about the most important events do you not? Well, it all started after an accident of my finding a Nomad power cell... i was... compelled to take it, although i couldn't under Rheinland jurisdiction, we were told to take it to Kusari at their research station... Don't ask, i don't even know why."
He takes a large huff of air before frowning and showing worry.
"Although my wing got separated in the Crow Nebula, it was a pain, i had to continue to Kusari, it was the closest place, but the Nomads had beat me there, they were waiting there."
The again chuckles to himself.
"Thinking about it, this mental attack was the first and last one i had that showed hostilities of the Nomads towards me. So after that even, the Cell was lost and i gained interest why the Nomads didn't just turn up out of nowhere without firing a single shot."
He opens a flap on his 'steel arm' to show a small computer screen contained within.
"Huh, updates are done... Anyway, I gained interest with the Nomads and i worked around them for some time, talking, learning about their history, and they just wanted to know why i was curious. And at one point i was given a 'Key' by the nomads; forged by my own blood, but the mind that contacted me... sort of died... and i was given no further instructions..."
He stands up walking around the bar again, still staring at Koch with the Communicator in his hand.
"Now after the Rheinswehr, i left on my own accord, although staying there would also be dangerous. I still had some work i wanted to finish, i wasn't staying because i had to follow certain protocol that obstructed me. So going AWOL would cause me to lose my position and make me wanted in Rheinland, but that also meant that i would be free to do my own bidding into doing research."
He shuts the flap over his arm, and continues to walk over the tipped table, finding his mask that was taken off.
"Soon after i discovered the extent of their operations of undermining the entirety of the Human race, Intel groups in Liberty have been infected, and i'm not just talking about one wing... I'm talking about entire divisions, But that's only suspect.
Also Bretonia has a Wilde base located in Drake, not knowing how bad that extent of infection is, i couldn't believe my eyes as well, i thought they stuck in Rheinland and Kusari. I was contacted by my 'Contractor' a while later, and we soon discovered we had many links inside Intel Agency's and military groups."
Sitting at the edge of the seat that where he last sat he crosses his feet and leans forward towards Koch.
"So now, i'm working under a 'Contract' agency, not like actually do much in it, some 'Investment scouting', 'Finance control' and more or less 'Personal visits to employer problems' that includes 'Unusually long sick leave days'..."
He begins to put the mask back on to cover the visible circuits around his face.
"If thats all, then i'll be waiting for you... if not i have the time to stay and chat."
Koch still holds his communicator in his hand. Thoughtfully, he looks around the room. It is quiet for few seconds. The cold wind from outside whistles through the door. Koch shakes his head and says:
"I never thought that i would go so far and threaten a friend of mine."
With a simple move, Koch closes his communicator and puts it back into his coat.
After he stands up, he looks out of the window. Again it is quiet for few seconds.
"We are all known of the infection rates in sirius. The governments try to calm down the public or even try to hush it up. There is no need to panic, they say."
He shakes his head.
"There is a enormous fleet of nomad ships, just waiting to run over us. Wouldn't it be logical to find their weak points and blast those verdammte schweine to hell? But what are we doing instead? We kill us each other and make it easy for them. Meanwhile, they infect more of our people and plan invasions. You never know if you can experience the next day. A infected person could simply walk into mein Büro, close the door and attack me. It could happen at any time. Thats why i have to be carefully, especially in my position."
He turns his back to the wall and sits down for a moment.
"Nomads are like cancer. Once infected, you can't remove it. It will simply kill you slowly and painfully. It is just a matter of time."
Koch looks at the ceiling and thinks.
"Be glad that you still have a family. I lost mine long time ago"
Geoff gives sigh of relief that can be heard through the mask.
"I know, the Nomads have a few bases all over sirius. So my 'Insurance firm' likes to make sure they're under control and monitor them. Not cover them up like some kind of LSF act and hope it will dry up, because it won't."
He passes Koch a card containing a frequency ID, Ship number and Address.
"You might already have the information, but its best if you keep to our 'Public number' and request you speak to a 'Financial Scout' named Mr Enfield."
He chuckles to himself quietly.
"If you ever have something of an 'Insurance matter' and need some materiel being transferred out of Rheinland, just call me. We can get it sorted out and get the Legal issues of 'financial coverage' dealt with."
He pauses for a moment before turning to Koch.
"If you want some alien materiel out of Rheinland or 'Something' is causing a problem for you, give us a call and request my name. Simple as that really. Just make it sound a lot like something Daumann would call an insurance companyfor."
He turns around towards the door of the Bar... But in a sudden split second just before he puts his hand on the door handle.
"Actaully... i might need something from you. I know you are not directly tied with us or the 'Rheinland financial market' in any way, but do you think you could be a little 'Commercial informant' on our list, actual live data from an agent of the Rhein would be nice. Just to monitor the current situation of the total take over in the Rheinland sector by 'Blue Seafood market Incorporated'."
Koch still sits on the floor. After Enfield gives him his card, he looks at it and chuckles.
"Let's see what i can do. But why do you want me to be a your commercial informant? I thought before you want to return to your laboratory on Schatten. Thats what your transmission looked like. And that was the primary reason why we have met here, right... or not?"
"I need a laboratory technician who is able to synthesize Zealicium..."
Koch takes a deep breath before he continues.
"...without to destroy the expensive equipment. The decision is yours. What are you going to do now, Geoff?"
