Actually, JM activity did begin to drop once Scrap was nerfed. Congress activity also drop a little bit too.
However this was before we started shooting at IMG again. Though, JM activity still dropped (albeit more slowly this time) when we did go back to our old ways.
I really want to refrain from breaking down Congress activity from my perspective as well as the majority of the servers perspective, because that'll probably spark off some flaming between both factions and generally I want to avoid that.
I can always tell you via skype if you like though Garrett.
I hereby support this faction on the grounds of the desired operational parameters of your scrap hauling. All scrap to the outcasts
Seriously though: buddy, I appreciate what you're doing, but there are two massive factions that are already hauling p.scrap up to Alpha in spades
Both factions already do what you're trying to accomplish. So while I appreciate the attempt, your time may be better spent with one of them. That choice is yours though.
Good luck, and I look forward to seeing you in space~<3

This Prem.Scrap stuff would only be half as stupid if there was a lawful selling point in Taus. The Tau 44 IMG Guard base is a big fail for obvious reasons (Guard base, Guard NPCs). Player request has already been sent to change it to Tau 39 (normal IMG Base).
Prices obviously need to be adjusted. 14 k is ridiculous and we see where it leads. Practically every Tau contact I see is a Junker Salvager heading to Alpha.

The profit itself is actually balanced. In terms of profit/sec, it's on par with a lot of other ores and still doesn't even beat Platinum.
Just because it has a large sell price, doesn't mean it's OP or better than all the other ores.
Like I said; the problem isn't the route, it's the people doing the route.

But uh, back on topic. Yes, there are too many Junkers. Is that a problem? A little bit.
Perhaps expand your horizons and help out a faction in need of activity that still has good profit margins, like ALG.
Or, make a Junker faction focusing on supplying the Corsairs with scrap. 2k less per unit, fun times working out the route, and cements more solid Junker-Corsair relations.
Lets see... what do we have now:
JM - A faction that generally tries to use the whole ID, so a jack of all trades Junker faction.
Congress - More focused on trading and less pvp-related activities.
T&T - A Junker faction(?) that's more of a corporation.
{AFC} - A Junker faction(?) that does racing.
In terms of major unofficial factions, those last two would fit the bill really.
It really does make one wonder where they, or any new Junker faction, can find a niche here aside from one or two diplomatic differences.

(Slightly related only, but...) Have any of you ever experienced the highlighted part being enforced?
To the OP: I'm sorry that your thread got kinda off topic but you hit a soft spot so to speak.
If you want to have your group of friends playing under the same tag, go ahead and have fun while respecting the ID rules.
If you have too much time on your hands and think you need a change, go make a faction with no representation on the server. There are a lot of options there.
