Why the hell can't we use asteroid script similiar to that from Flak 88?

Also, it gave me a very neat idea: remember how fragments of the ships could be pushed (vide: transport's front or Rh Cruiser in the campaign)? Why not to implent asteroids like that, which could be used, with some practice, as a b*tch that would ram into caps?
