So, today I was doing my business, minding myself, and a BAF Carrier named "HMS" came along and claimed that I was breaking the rules when using Junker identification papers on my vessel.
He claimed that I was not allowed to fly the Pirate Transport within Bretonia when I clearly explained that I could fly it under Junker papers. However, he moved on to tax me for using a Junker ID, claiming it was "illegal".
Now, I want to ask a question. Is he allowed to do such things to me, or is he trying to abuse his power?
This has been passed to us to deal with as the upholders of the Law.
We will point you to the Bretonian Law regarding this matter.
Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law, Chapter 3 - Restricted Items, Sub Section 3.13 - Ships Manufactured by Hostile Nations.
This Section states:
Quote:Anyone found flying ships produced by Bretonia's enemies will be halted and questioned about their activities. Mere possession of such a ship without corresponding ID papers constitutes as sufficient grounds for fines, prosecution or arrest. Vessels acting in contravention of this order will face a minimum fine of 2,000,000 credits and immediate expulsion from Bretonian borders or impounding. Banned ship lines include:
Corsair ships
Gaian ships
Gallic Military ships
Gallic civilian ships (unless flown by The Council)
Hogosha/Farmers Alliance ships (unless flown by Kusari Exiles) Pirate Transport, Train and Pilgrim Liners (unless flown by friendly, allied or Junker entities)
We have highlight the relevant part for your perusal.
Please also note Chapter 6 - Appendix, Sub Section 6.2 - Ban on Suing the Government and Armed Forces.
Which states:
Quote:Under the Articles of War, it is now illegal in Bretonia to file civil or criminal actions against the Armed Forces or the Crown during a time of war. This is to prevent distractions from the war effort. Any such attempt shall incur a hefty fine to the person breaking this law, and be subject to arrest.
So even though the Captain of the Ship in question was in error there is nothing we can do about it.
That being said if you feel that you have been treated unfairly than may we suggest that you take this up with the Bretonian Armed Forces.
