Stiletto sat down, looked at a screen full of alien characters instead of letters and began to write his first exploration report of the Omicron Gamma system.
___________________________________________________________________
When i entered the system, it all looked a bit dull. The anomaly i used to enter the system is located in the Omicron Theta system.
On the other side of this jumphole, it looks like a very inhospitable system.
I went further down into the system, and discovered that it isnt as inhospitable as i had first thought. There are several planets in this system, so i will begin listing those with the information i uncovered about it.
Planet Cella Dor is a arid world, devoid of any option for life to expand on its surface. It will not provide a good home to our race, and it is not worth a prion's life to explore it.
Planet Crete
The home of the local inhabitants. They call themselves the corsairs, and are exactly what prevents the human race from forming an unity. A filthy bunch of ragtag pirates supporting the one of the biggest fleets in Sirius. Agriculture seems to be unknown to these people, as they do not grow crops on this world. Contact with these humans should be taken with caution, and will not be easy.
Planet Khalmera
Another inhospitable planet. This one is the moon of planet Crete, and is dotted with meteorite impacts. It currently supports no atmosphere, as this has slipped off into space decades ago.
After the planets I went on and scouted out all the bases in the system.
These are listed below.
The local 'Greenhouse' operated by the corsairs. They wouldnt let me get too close as the biodome they have is the only one in the entire system. They wouldnt tell me much about this station, other then that its ability to provide food to the Corsairs in insufficient.
Puerto del Sol
A heavely armed and armored station, which purpose seems to be to prevent hostiles from entering gamma through the nearby jumphole. Avoid contact with this station, as it supports 7 to 8 weapon platforms.
Tripoli Shipyard
A shipyard also operated by the Corsairs. This one seems capable of only building Transport sized ships, and the odd gunboat, which suggests they have a much larger shipyard somewhere else to build all the capital vessels they are supporting. It is however, capable of performing maintenance on ships of all sizes.
After I had searched out all the stations in the system, i went on with the jumpholes and other anomalies in this system.
There is no guncamera shot available of this jumphole due to a camera malfunction.
This is the jumphole through which i had entered Omicron Gamma. It is guarded by 2 Weapon platforms cameoflaged as asteroids.
Omega-41 Jumphole
This jumphole leads to a system we have no knowledge about yet. It is guarded by a station with impressive firepower (See Puerto del Sol). I suspect there to be hostile groups to the corsairs to be on the other side of this Jumphole.
Omicron 91 Jumphole
All ships getting remotely close to this jumphole are ordered to turn around be the Corsair Fleet. Suspected to lead to a highly guarded system operated by the Corsairs.
Omicron Kappa Jumphole
Yet another jumphole leading to a system that we have not scouted out as of yet. Nomad presence was high around this jumphole. If you venture through this jumphole, be on your guard for alien presence. There also was an entire graveyard of 15 Corsair Fighter vessels around this jumphole, which suggest that whatever lies behind this Jumphole might be very unfriendly.
Omicron Lambda Jumphole
A jumphole leading to an unexplored system. Presence of ships was very limited in this area, so whatever lies beyond may or may not be suitable for our future home. I suggest we explore this system as soon as possible.
After i had done these objects aswell, i have charted the entire system.
About the wreckages. They might provide weapons and other usefull items for our race to utilize in the building of new ships. Alien materials have also been found in these ships, some type of humming crystals, with decorations all over them.
One of the wreckages:
The Crystals:
I also came across a corsair hauler. He was carrying the same crystals i had picked up, suggesting that they are a lucrative trade for the local inhabitants.
This concludes my first exploration tour for our race. May this help us find our new home.
For new Etheria!
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
