She looked slightly confused, "Random strikes...?" She shrugged "Ah, I guess it doesn't matter. But uhm, well, that was kind of you to offer but I don't want to feel like a burden of a guest, I don't really drink. "
"Oh, you're not a burden, come on. All right then, how about we just take a seat and you can ask all the questions you want, hm?"
They sat by one of the windows looking out on the marina. The seaside was dark, but Kade could see silhouettes of two people standing on a pier, holding hands. "Aww, how sweet," he thought, and turned to Viviana.
"So?"
She looked out the window to enjoy the view and noticing the pair, "Heh - What a particularly beautiful view, those two are so lucky... " She quickly realised she had been nodding off into the distance, almost away from reality of where she was.
"Oh! Uhm... uhh," she looked back at Kade. "What do you normally do in your spare time?"
"Shoot criminals, party, drink, shoot more criminals, play chess, water ski, shoot even more criminals-- I'm a busy man," he laughed. "I used to be a quarterback during college, but dropped out of playing football. Not my style anymore, you know. Shooting criminals is a better sport, no doubt. I guess you do this as a dayjob, I do this as a hobby, eh? So, what about you?"
"Ah, I see. Well. Most of my spare time is composed of just training, enjoying the natural outdoors of Erie, playing badminton now and then, designing occasionally, just generally watching things. I try to concentrate on my training " she shrugged.
"Erie, Erie-- I haven't been there very often, Pennsylvania always just kinda-- I don't know-- Always felt like there was not much to do there. I should probably give it a second chance, maybe buy a house there. Do you like it yourself?"
"Well," she took a pause to think about it, "if you don't mind the weather being chilly, the weird reptile animals and the occasional Zoner hating on Liberty in the main city, then it's alright. I've always found it peaceful to live at, but, I don't really live in the city areas. "
"Reptiles, oh goodness, I think I'll pass on that," Kade chuckled lightly. "As far as peaceful areas go-- Needles are pretty good for that. No weird reptile animals, no angry Zoners and no criminals. That's mostly our job, you can't trust any hired rentacops with that. I mean, Needles is our home, we have to keep it clean, don't we."
Kade looked out the window again, but the couple they saw before was no longer there. He appreciated the thought of a stroll along the marina promenade, 'Persona' started feeling a bit too cramped. He was surprised to think this, as he always considered the club his go-to place after a busy day in space. He pondered for a minute about perhaps asking Viviana to go for a walk with him, but he dropped that thought really quickly. They were here just for a few minutes, why leave so early.
She smiled, "Well, the reptiles aren't really that bad, as long as you don't provoke them." She casually turned to the window. "Maybe it's not as hot and lush as the beaches of Manhattan, but it holds its own kind of unique beauty. "
As she looked out the window, she put her hands on the desk away from her a little, relaxing them. She started to ponder about the club, starting to look around the room, "So, what do you guys normally do when you're here?"
"Well, we just hang out for the most part. Get drunk, eat, talk, brag, play video games, listen to the music. Some just like to come here and stare at the wall for a few hours. I personally don't see the appeal, but I won't be judging," he laughed. "And not to say we always sit inside. When the weather is nice, we go out on the beach with a few kegs of beer. As I said before, after a good fight you need a good party to celebrate it."
"That sounds nice. Although, I'm not really a party animal myself, I don't always go constantly rewarding myself after a fight. I just kind of... continue on." She looked down slightly, "I don't feel the need to reward myself. "
"Well, we mostly do that for fun anyway. It's not, like, our job. Most of us don't even have jobs. Speaking of, for how long have you been working in the LPI?"
"Well." She took a moment to think, putting her hand to her mouth, "Hmm... About.. 2 months in active space? I did some planetside related jobs before hand. "
"Hm, that's not very long, compared to Blaze going off the planet for the first time about two years ago. Before that, everyone was mostly focused on finishing their education." He pondered for a while. "You know, I've never actually thought about it from the other side. Working in LPI, that is. We've always perceived them as do-nothing rentacops, you know. I think it must be difficult for someone hard-working to advance on this, as a career path. That's why I always preferred bounty hunting, eh? As I said, we're kind of a family here, so when someone stands out, it's immediately visible. I guess one doesn't get that in LPI. But, I guess we aren't here to talk about work, are we--"
"Yo, Kade!" Lee shouted from the other end of the room. "I'll be makin' some margaritas, you and your friend want some?"
Kade looked at Viviana. "I know you don't drink, but his margaritas are really damn good. You sure you don't want one?"
"No, really, I'm fine. But thank you for the offer,” she smiled.
"As you wish," he responded to Viviana, and shouted back to Lee. "Nah, thanks man, we're good."
He pondered for a bit. "So, what did you do before LPI?"
"Well." She wondered, "I was an outcast Outcast, to summon it up. " She took time to think about whether she should mention something about it. "But during my Outcast before-outcasted time, I was a, uhm... "
“Hm, it's not really common to see an ex-Outcast working for LPI. Obviously." He stretched. "We've been talking for quite a while now. Is there anything else you want to know about me?"

The man, wearing a simple black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, adjusted by a simple black belt, a pair of normal black sneakers with a white edge just above the bottom of the shoes, a modern black wristwatch on his left wrist and a thin, dark brown leather cord on his right wirst. He brushes his right hand through his hair for moment, quirking a brow. "Damn this club definitely beats everyone I've seen so far." Checking if there was anyone present he'd know of, he'd slowly make his way towards the bar, speaking to the Bartender who's just cleaning a glass with a rag. "Hey, I'm here to see Kade, you know where I can find him?" The bartender would check John by only one glance before he nodded and gestured towards the left at the door. "Alright, thanks." The barkeeper continues on cleaning some glasses, before his attention returns to some guests at the bar, while John proceeds to the hidden passage, making his way through the door into the next room, closing it behind him. Taking a look around, surprised by the sudden change of the atmosphere within the room, he'd take a sharp breath, before he smiled, noticing Viviana and Kade next to her. Deciding to leave them alone, he makes his way to the bar. "Well thats quite the difference to the main floor."he mutters. He rests his hands upon the counter, looking at the Barkeeper ordering his drink. "Evenin', a glass of whiskey please." The barkeeper nods and prepares the drink for John, setting it down on the counter, naming the price. John puts the demanded money upon the counter in return and grabs his drink, slowly turning around, leaning against the counter, as he guides the glass of whiskey to his lips, taking a sip. Then he'd glance at Annabelle and Seraph, before he glances back to Viviana and Kade.
She was hearing something and she was feeling cautious, she slightly glanced to the left to notice John come in, she relaxed as she looked back.
She mentioned, "Heh. I'm surprised you didn't take note of the whole lack of 'cardamine' dependency. Oh well... "
Continuing on, "Hm, where did you come from? Were you always a bounty hunter, or did you do something else before that occupation?"
"Nah. I've never worked anywhere. A perk of having rich parents, I guess. Most of us here never worked a dayjob, and we aren't really bounty hunters. We just get paid for doing what we like. A lot of the cash from our 'rewards' goes to charities and stuff. For the most part, I could just probably sit by the poolside and pick my nose for like the entire year, but where's the fun in that," he shrugged. "And as for Cardamine dependency-- I just assumed you take Stabiline. Am I wrong?"
"Heh. As for the Cardamine, yes, you are wrong," she smiled slightly. "It's more to do about my family, I was never born into the 'fresh atmosphere' of Cardamine, and pretty much used breathers and stayed in filtered buildings. Or the family ship."
She thought for a moment, "I believe you cannot really break off from a Cardamine addiction as it may do severe damage to your DNA and whatnot," she shrugged.
"Yeah, I've heard that it's bad stuff, too. That's why shoot smugglers... among other things... Oh, well."
He looked outside once again. The streetlights had already begun to dim for the night and the sea waves had started to hit the marina more violently. He started listening to the sound of the waves, oddly fitting in with the rhythm of the music.
"Hmmm... Would you like to go outside and grab some fresh air, maybe?" he asked, still looking out the window. "It seems really nice outside tonight."
She looked at the window, to see the sky slowly turn to darkness and see the haze of the star shimmering the waters. She looked back to Kade, "I sure would." She stood up and started to make her way to the exit with him.
John emptied the glass in his hand, set it aside and pushed off the counter behind him slighty before he approached the two, greeting them with a brief but friendly smile. He raised his right hand for a wave before he spoke. "Hey Viviana, hey Kade, how are you?" His gaze wandered from one to the other.
She acted surprised as she wasn't expecting John, "Oh!" But she couldn’t help but feel slightly uncomfortable. "Hello. Well... I'm fine. Didn't expect you to be here..."
She ever so slightly looked towards Kade to see and analyse his reaction.
"Well, Kade mentioned this club, so I thought I might take a look at it. It sure beats every bar and club I've been in, so far." John chuckled briefly. "Didn't expect to meet you here either.” He shrugged and smiled slightly, then he looked at Kade.
The bounty hunter maintained his cheerful expression and didn’t seem to be surprised by John's presence in Persona.
"Hey, man. We got a good thing going on here, eh? Feel free to talk to the guys if you want, just watch out, some of them have really... hmmm... concrete views on the Navy, you know."
He shrugged. "You need something from me in particular? We were just leaving to grab some fresh air."
"Sure thing. Each their own views and opinions about something. I will try to not get into trouble. I guess I'll take a look around and enjoy some more of the music and atmosphere here, and leave the two of you alone, didn't want to interrupt you, just in case you were speaking about something only to be heard by four ears." He said, nodding slightly.
"Yeah, no problem, man. See ya around some other time," Kade replied in a friendly manner and turned towards Viviana. "Shall we?"
"Well... sounds good then." They then proceeded to leave the club.
