ADDRESSEE: J. Scott SENDER: ERROR at link #00804; No identification available; LOCATION: node@422%%ERROR;
CONTENT: ....well, I must say you've caused quite a fuss there my friend. Considering the information I received about your recent activities in Zeta, your unscheduled arrival at "REDACTED" hours later was quite surprising. Either way, I'm glad that your vessel was put back into shape in no time.
If you're reading this, I'm assuming that you already know where this message comes from. To put it straight - we are the ones that exist to oppose the infested, eliminate their influence by any means necessary, and prevent sensitive material and objects such as the one you found, from getting in the wrong hands and being abused.
Now.... Having such "objects" in your cargo hold while venturing around the deep Omicrons is very unwise. However, I'm curious as to where did you find it, and more importantly - what is your interest in them? I'm also curious as to what happened with your ship? I have plenty of reports regarding your ventures here lying on my desk, but after taking a closer look at them, they are all conflicting with each other.
So, if you're interested in a meeting, say a time that is suitable for you and we shall have a drink at the bar on "REDACTED", at the place where your vessel was repaired.
Also if you're still unsure of who I represent, I'm certain that the alias "Demonica" may ring a bell.
And if it comes to trust, rest assured, the safety of you, your crew and ship upon arrival is guaranteed, but I guess our colleagues on "REDACTED" have already proven that.
I hope we see each other soon, if you are however not interested then disregard this message.

Greetings Captain,
I would again like to thank you for your assistance and the safe passage that you gave me to *********. Without the repairs we were able to make I am certain that my crew and I would not be alive today. In appreciation for your hospitality I have had 3,000 units of Basic Alloy transported to *********, I hope that this compensates you for your help.
As for the item in question I can assure you that I have no use for nor do I ever want to see another one those items again. Even though such an item could fund my research for several years it is obviously not worth the risk to my ship or crew. We are currently surveying systems in Liberty for our upcoming research project, but I will delay the remainder of our survey mission and immediately set course for *********. We should arrive within the week and I will be happy to buy the first round.
