Greetings.
Our last transmission disappeared during the neural net crash. Fortunately, I was able to back it all up in the event of such a catastrophe.
Helmut Weinstein Wrote:Greetings.
My name is Helmut Weinstein, I am the director of ALG Waste Disposal's Division V.
To give a brief summary, Division V handles ALG's special operations, sensitive assignments such as the one today.
I was quite surprised -which is unusual- when we were contacted today. An urgent transmission from the far Omicrons. Supplies from Rheinland were needed.
Taking advantage of a desperate situation seemed like a perfect mission for us, and as we had a transport being prepped for an Omicrons assignment, it was perfect timing.
The rest I'm sure is known to you. Blockade running, last minute supply dumps, a rather nerve-wracking experience from what the crew of the Solothurn tells me. As I hear, it was the Solothurn which brought those precious few components remaining to complete a certain critical system.
I'm sorry to say this is not something we can make a habit of, diplomacy in the far Omicrons is very delicate and any closer alignment with the Core is currently far too much of a political dilemma.
It's not impossible that Division V could make sporadic exchanges of some sort, however that brings me to the next point.
The staff responsible at your little project were in no position to offer anything for the Solothurn's services. And that's entirely understandable, given the situation out there, with the hostile blockade and hastiness of the whole construction effort.
Therefor, I consider this an investment. Something I expect to see a return of some sort out of.
Given the financial, intelligence, and of course technological resource base of your company, I have no doubt we will think of a way for you to repay this debt.
It is a pleasure doing business.
Erik Nodtviet Wrote:Greetings Mr. Weinstein,
I am Guildmaster Erik Nodtviet of The Core. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. In their haste and panic, it seems APM sent out some communications for help with Invicta. *Sigh*. That is no issue, I will happily refund you for your services to us.
Iridium is an important component of HazMat Cannisters. Items which ALG Waste Disposal produces correct? We can send a few deliveries to one of your bases, if you like, as compensation. Simply state how much you would like
Helmut Weinstein Wrote:Mr Nodtviet;
Thank you for your response.
Of course it is true that we use iridium in many of our alloys, including some of those used in the production of HazMaz canisters. However, with all due respect, that is an offer I find rather lacking.
Naturally, your ships are welcome to deliver iridium to our facilities, and we will purchase at good market rates, as usual.
But I have something more, shall we say, future-oriented in mind.
Division V is currently laying the groundwork for a weapons development program. We have a modest production capacity of CL, CG and CP series civilian guns, as well as "Flammenwerfer"-type tachyon and plasma cannons.
Still, a great deal of our ship-based weapons systems is made up of the Independent Miners' Guild's Vampire-series and Rheinland military technology, and to a lesser extent GMG-made products. We wish to reduce our reliance on these outside sources in the future by producing a design of our own that encompasses features we appreciate from the various technology currently in use.
This is where you come in. The Core is of course well-known for military technology. We would like to hire an individual or a small team to assist with this design project, naturally under strict no-disclosure.
We want all preparations in order for this to be a fruitful endeavor.
I await your reply.
Erik Nodtviet Wrote:Mr. Weinstein,
Before we are able to assign people to work on the project, if we are able to spare the people at all, we would require knowledge of what exactly it is you want our assistance with. If you can relay that information to me, I can form a good idea on how we can handle this.
I'd also need to know if you'd require any specific facilities or resources for this project.
And with that said, I'll need your statement on the above matters before we continue any further. I await your response.
Helmut Weinstein Wrote:Mr Nordviet;
Please excuse the delay, we have been reviewing our options regarding this potential cooperation before we make another statement.
We've decided on Danzig Depot as the most suitable place for developing our weapons program. It is a new installation in New London, currently undergoing expansion which will open the necessary space for this endeavor, while being situated in a relatively quiet, trouble-free area.
The initial plan is a small-scale production line of the aforementioned CL, CG and CP-series weapons, as well as an attached testing and development facility. This is where you come in.
We lack engineers specialized in the development and refinement of ship weaponry, something AP Manufacturing has plenty of experience with.
We wish to hire a small team of your engineers or an experienced individual, to oversee both the construction of the planned setup, and the development program.
The team or individual will be:
- officially under employment of ALG Waste Disposal, Divison V, with all associated benefits
- working full time at Danzig Depot, New London
- under strict non-disclosure about the status of the program except towards AP Manufacturing
- engaged for a contracted period of three months from the time of arrival, with the possibility of extension with the consent of both parties
I hope this addresses your questions in a satisfactory manner.
Nova Hawken Wrote:Greetings Mr. Weinstein,
I am Guildkeeper Hawken. I'll be taking over handling this comm in Erik Nodtviets absence.
Your contract is satisfactory and is something we can work with. Although whilst delivering supplies to Invicta could be seen as an investment, I wouldn't say it's entirely worthy of covering a full payment of three months contracted work. Employees of AP Manufacturing will require their pay whilst they work, so I am hoping you will pay them as they work at Danzig?
Once this is addressed, we can send a group of 10 engineers - all of whom have a lot of experience working on weaponry.
Of course I am back now and I will be able to handle this transmission. I await your response.

Thank you for your response. Of course the members of the engineering team you assign will receive a salary befitting of a high-level trained engineering specialist, as well as the associated benefits and insurance coverage ALG Waste Disposal offers employees in these positions.
We have a substantial budget set aside for this project and guarantee a working environment and compensation that leaves nothing to be desired.
If this clears things up, we can pick up the team at a location you deem suitable, or if you'd prefer your own travel arrangements we will await them in New London.

Greetings.
New London is the perfect location for us to send the team to. We currently have a very important asset parked in New London, and are due to come transfer it back to the Omicrons within the next couple weeks.
When we send an escort convoy to New London to pick it up, we can also assign a vessel to transfer the engineering team as well. What location in New London would be suitable for dropping off the team?

I'm pleased we have reached a final accord.
Of course you are welcome to visit Danzig Depot directly, at the edge of the Southampton debris field.
If you consider this too far out of the way, Southampton Shipyard would be a perfect drop off point.
I look forward to hearing of the results of this cooperation.
