Okay, I wasn't actually referring to our encounter though.
The wording is a bit confusing though, and might make a lot of your traders run without a word, as running while RPing is an acquired skill. I do suggest you edit it to something along these lines.
We fly with profit in mind, so escaping from pirates is encouraged strongly. Equipping your transport with good CM devices is absolutely necessary due to this ethos. However, if odds of escape are low, and the pirate force/s are too much, survival outweighs monetary gain, and sometimes paying their tax is a wiser course. Situations vary, so act accordingly.
// By no means is wordless fleeing good. If at all possible, you are to RP in any situation. //
Just an example, but this seems a lot easier to understand, and works better I think. You can change it as needed, but I really do suggest something more along these lines.
Also, yes. I already said the Havok is much more permissable. As for the BHG ships, I'm not an expert on the matter, but I have heard multiple times about the guild being very stingy with their ships. Anyone who has more info on that should take over here. I'm not totally sure.
Indeed, I was just adding a bit of dry humor. However I am still debating on if I want to allow cruise disruptors at all, I prefer Supernovas plus sunslayers for 'trader rp'. after all a pirate cant pirate you if hes (she's) running. The only reason I dont rule them out is in actual dogfighting they are the bees knees.

Yes, thats what the mission statement will cover. I had to pop into game for a bit tho as all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.
Btw I thought you meant the torpedo razors. The class 8 gunboat razors can be in if our buddies on fp11 keep selling them.
I dont feel right only being limited to ONE gb selection, however in 4.85 will there be a zoner GB? I thought I heard there was and that would make good RP (zoners being such noted traders and all).
I would like BHG opinions and admin opinions on BGH ships. Those will be 'tentative'.
Last I checked, the Freelancer ID's cargo limit is 3500 now. Keep checking the ID proposal topic.
I just have to say I see no form with your allowed fighters. It's pretty much a grab bag of anything not expressly denied. While that works within server rules, it doesn't give a very good feel IMO.

Actually I think it does. The faction isn't one with it's own shipyards so they would have a mix of ships and equipment brought in from other sources.
Just doesn't have a very good feel to me. It's sort of like: "We go everywhere, therefore we fly anything."
That's my opinion, but I garuntee a few others will feel the same way once this gets to proposal stage. It's your guys' choice, but cleaning it up more here will help in the long run.
Civilian is a general term. The only truly "civilian" vessel is the Eagle line, since it's built nearly everywhere, and by the Zoners (in the case of the final model, the Eagle). However, when you put something like the Stinger, or Viper, into the spotlight, it's a different story.
Infocards are what you need to pay attention to, not the title thrown on it. With the case of say, the Taiidan bomber, it's actually built by the GMG. They're a pretty secluded group with sharing equipment, unlike perhaps, the Zoners or IMG. The Taiidan is fairly permissable, since a lot of groups use it for lack of other choices, but the point stands.
Just because a ship is called civilian, doesn't mean it's something anyone would be able to get ahold of. You guys -do- go everywhere, being an independant trading corp without any set ZoI, but still, having a handful of ships that identifies you makes you look a lot more organized, and your proposal a lot more professional looking.
All this said, you -could- argue the point that you go everywhere, so you could acquire all of these ships, but really do suggest you cut it down. I'd lose the HW ships, since you already have the Havok, and the Civvy Bomber (which is going to be awesome in 4.85). Plus you have the Waran, though a little junk, conveys the BW aspect of your faction. The RT, Stinger, and Virage... I'd choose one. That's just me, but I really stress cutting this list down. Also, the limits on the ID have changed, so you'll need to look at that and revise accordingly.
yes yes, you bring up a couple of points. I think Ill actually keep the warran, as it fits the borderworld aspect and lose the GMG ships. We can RP out if you (GMG faction) want to sell us any later.
Oh btw I used the wiki on ships, it has the infocards verbatim (at least in most cases). The weapons I had to look in game.
Also, we will NOT be going EVERYWHERE. Unfortunately it looks like there is no way we are going to avoid being red with corsairs. Only our pirate transports will be allowed to land on pirate bases. I need some help with the ZOI, and I still would like some opinions on what you guys think would be a better 'first home' the Hawaii or Curacao.
