There is no RP benefit to be won. Judging by the way usual engagements have been going, we are likely to still lose most of our fights against KNF. There's no issue with that. The reasoning behind this decision is simple: To keep a group of players away whose intentions are (and that's self-admitted, by the way) ooRPly harmful to the faction as a whole, and the players in particular.

There's really not much to be said except for that, @Shiki
Can be made, or can be not. Don't get me wrong, I can see the benefit of the 343 that comes from it, but it will impact obviously low Kusari activity in general even more.
Who knows, maybe it'd be better to have minimial but quality activity and without griefers.
It's still amusing how many translate this as "indies excluded, no exceptions" while it's actually "indies excluded, exceptions can be made if you are not a griefer though".

You know what is even worse for Kusari activity? A faction being forced to come to this because they simply cannot log 3+ ships before a group of indies shows up to obliterate them. That group barely role-plays, ruins one faction activity and by extension the activity of the others factions that could have interacted with it.
So what do we have here? A group that is regularly bullied to be cast out of the server. Tell me how this is good for BD|, GC|, Samura|, [KNF] or GRN| when interaction opportunities are ruined by a few people doing the bare minimum in rp requirements to achieve their goals?
Perhaps some people should try to put themselves in their shoes and wonder what they would do if they had to face this. Perhaps some people should also remember the "be excellent to one another" saying should matter and that an interaction is only good if both sides were having fun.
In essence, you are complaining about this decision, but perhaps you should complain about the reasons that made this decision necessary in the first place.

Not everyone who plays the role of an indie is going to see this. They're wandering in Kusari and encounter them, only to be denied interaction by an official faction. Shouldn't officials be promoting indie activity and upholding a higher quality of roleplay, instead of using Faction Rights to avoid it?

Oh, and you believe that I haven't done that? What makes you think that? And no, it did not stop that behaviour. As already stated, you are not going to be flat-out denied interaction just because you're an indie. But since you haven't read any of the previous clarifications, I might as well not bother.

Actually I've sat through and read this entire thread, and have avoided posting. Whether or not you've tried doesn't matter. You try again. You approach the staff to discuss it. You don't look for loopholes in Faction rights to abuse in this case. I see nothing good coming from this.
You see it as abuse, and as already stated to Zayne earlier, I can see where you're coming from. I agree that it's a loophole and that it is a harsh way of doing things, believe me, if I saw another way, I'd use it, but it is the only solution left. If you disagree, that's your opinion. Thank you for your feedback.
How much times do you think he should spam the staff with the same issue? Why do you think doing the same thing all over again would yield change? It apparently didn't yet, so that's why we are here instead of, like, losing officialdom due to inactivity or outright disbandement.
You realize that by doing this you also renounce to any form of engagement or right to interact with people you meet along the way right? Because that's how events work, you can't enter them without permission, and you can't leave them either. With what that implies, of course.
