Log Number 013
Date/Time: November 11th, 824 AS | 1:00 Universal Time
Location: Freeport 11, Omicron Delta.
Subject: Everything stops bleeding eventually....
Nodoka is seen having personnel unload supplies onto the freeport from the Pudica, the camera feed from inside the freeport, which Honya has accessed.
"Let me know when you've gotten out the Oxygen - AP Manufacturing needs that on Concourse E - You two, get over here and take that hoverdolly and load it with the Deuterium, Reactor room needs it.... Can someone who's able help me get the Consumer Goods to Concourse A?" Nodoka is heard, ordering some of the people she's called on to assist her, mainly consisting of a few Zoners, core pilots and defiant Order personnel. The cargo section of the Freeport is partly covered in various tents, mainly medical in purpose, as the Medical Complex on Concourse B, as well as the area on Concourse E set up by AP Manufacturing is filled to the brim with wounded.
A group of people near the entrance to the lift to the Lower Concourse section, are seen by Nodoka, arguing. "You, keep these guys in check while I handle this.." She says, moving towards the group. The camera is switched to one closer to the lift. Nodoka is seen approaching, not amused with their behavior.
"It's your ****ing Grand Admiral's fault that we're in this godforsaken mess - If he couldn't have just kept his damn mouth shut and accepted that we agreed to that peace treaty, then maybe-" one of the men is heard saying at a low-ranking Order officer, wearing the Vessel patch for one of the Order ships that had defied Golanski in recent days. Nodoka approaches them at brisk pace, and is heard yelling to the man "What in Mother Sol are you doing, harassing him?" The men turn and look to Nodoka as if they'd done some kind of mortal wrong, seeing that, even though she wasn't acknowledged as such as of yet by the CoF, given she was trusted by Kyu and a majority of the Freeport to enforce the NFZ in prior days, she might as well have been an administrator. "M-Miss Hanamura, we were having a discussion with this Order grunt." the man says to her, trying to cover up the blatantly obvious with little effort if none not at all.
"Discussion my ass. You were in his face and yelling at him, which, may I remind you, is violation of the Freeport regulations regarding Non-Aggression. Apologize and be on your way, all of you. We have wounded to take care of and supplies to bring to the station, do something productive instead of pointing fingers. Besides, childish whining like this is how this godforsaken war started." she says in as stern a voice as she can muster. The men nod their heads and head off their seperate ways.
"Busy two days, Hanamura-sensei." Honya says, audible on the feed. Nodoka presses her hands to her earset, and replies. "Yes, but someone's gotta do it now that Kyu's gone." Nodoka turns to the ship, nodding her head once to the AI visible inside the Pudica from the windows. "I've gotten responses from Miss Shepard and... K-02 "L".. Wait... Is he that guy we were.." Honya says, not sure how "L" got his hands on that communication regarding the reapers. "What?" Nodoka says as she walks back to her last location. "The GUIDs are not matching.. Never mind, I'll show you when you get back to the bridge.. We also have one unread message from a Core Pilot." Honya answers.
Nodoka turns her head to the teams working on moving the Deuterium, seeing one drop it, cracking one of the containment units. Her face turns to that of stupor over the clumsiness of one of the men. She yells to a nearby maintenance operator. "Get a HAZMAT guy over here, we might have some leaking Deuterium!" She then turns to the crew that dropped the unit. "Can you try and be more careful with these things? Deuterium isn't cheap!" she says to the man who dropped it. "Sorry Miss, my arm's been acting up all day and giving out." he says. "Well then, try and lower it when you can't hold it anymore. Take it to the reactor room." she says, pointing to the lift.
The feed cuts back to the Pudica, Honya and Pale Bride standing in clear view on the ship's console on their respective hologram pads. "I've been running for 3 days now.. Usually I get to shut off and clear out working memory. I haven't been able to do that." Honya says. "Ditto, but I just want that damn body." Pale Bride says, turning to her associate. "You know what-" Honya tries to say, only to be interrupted. "You know whaaat Hanamura-sensei says, Patience is a virtue!" Pale Bride says mockingly. "It doesn't take that damn long to automatically replicate cells!" she continues. "Would you like to look like some ugly freak of nature?" Honya retorts. " No, but I'd rather not wait until my QPU dies!" Pale Bride shouts. "I doubt that will happen.. Most Kishiro AI cards are designed to last at the least 80 years... Unlike those from Ageira, which last 10 and have to upgrade every so often, can't have them fixed or LPI will have their owner's head." Honya responds, not fond of Bride's Irrationality. "Yeah, Junker's wet dream, dead AI daughterboards. It's as if Kusari knows what consumers want and that Ageira is in it for the money and all that jazz." Bride says to her, Scoffing at Libertonian Industry. "Well they did invent the now obsolete Liberty Engine, that has to count for something." Honya says, trying to at least defend Liberty's initial advances in modern space travel. "Yeah, I'll concede on that. " Bride says, accepting her friend's point.
Nodoka steps into the Bridge of the ship, and prepares to pull the two of them out of their slots. "We're switching over to the Navigium, I think we all need a break from the madness for a half day. "She says, taking Pale Bride out without as much as a Hello. "I wish you wouldn't just yank us out like that.. that and don't you need to stay on station?" Honya says to her superior, concerned about the situation at hand. "No, I told the maintenance team to monitor things and report to me if they need me. I'll head back immediately." She says, pulling Honya out, and noticing the camera light on. "Tch... Could they not?" She finishes, killing the camera and ending the feed.
