When the doors opened to the new lab room Melissa had assigned to her, a cold shiver ran down her spine. This was more then she could've ever hoped for. Inside several other scientists would already be working on the remains of an ancient creature she had found on Nauru 2 years prior. "Am I glad I don't have to do everything myself anymore.." With these words she set foot into the labs. "Hello everyone. I was told that there would be a suprise for me here.. And well, can I say that I'm pleasently suprised." She smiled and walked in, greeting each of the 9 scientists personally and extravagantly.
The lab contained everything she could've hoped for; from big fridges for samples to dissecting tables, aswell as a heavily secured room for the more dangerous things she had planned to work on. She ran her hand over the first desk next to her. "Dustless, stainless, everything! Wow!" She thought to herself. "So I guess we will be going straight to work then. I look forward to it, guys." She adjusted the small breathing mask that supplied her with cardamine through her nose, and moved over to the remnants of the fish-like creature. It was found alongside several lake-side alien ruins on Nauru, and one of her most closely guarded secrets so far. The creature had several markings on its skullbone, almost as if forming text.. But like most of the ruins on Nauru, the language wasnt from the Daam K'vosh, or whatever other languages they had deciphered so far. She grabbed one of the new lab coats from the closet next to the entrance, and pulled it on over her normal clothes. "Right. Lets see what we have so far."

This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
"Right. So we can confirm that even though we found this thing in a pile of sand, its most assuredly a sea creature. Right, Enrico?" Melissa moved along the skeleton's length with a notepad, scribbling down minor texts, before looking at Enrico. "Si Mel. It seems that way. I made a digital reconstruction of what it what it would've looked like if it were still alive, thanks to DNA strings. It took a bit of wizardry, but here you go, amiga." The screen would light up with the picture of a shark and a small data string. there would be several stains on the screen however. She took off her glasses to study it a bit better. "Well, I sure fancy not running into a living one of those. Imagine it jumping at you with that gaping jaw. Christ, that wouldnt end well.." She shook her head before putting her notepad down. "Well, i'm calling it a day. Wanna go get some coffee?" She took off her lab clothing, underneath her normal attire becoming visible. "Si. Lets go." Enrico followed her example and they left the room to get a coffee.
