I sincerely hope National Council/Bretonian Government actually does some RP to reflect the fact IMG decided to embargo this trade between the two houses.
I don't think this way of trade is even legal according to Bretonia. Trade with the Outcast is alright, but not via the Taus, as there is a high possibility that the goods are captured by Gallia. From the Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law:
"2.1 - Embargo Lines
2.1.1 - Leeds Embargo
With the severing of the New London and Newcastle jump connections to Leeds and the Fall of the system to Gallic control, strictly no trade is allowed via anomaly from New London or Dublin. Those supplying the war front should travel discreetly via Manchester or Magellan.
2.1.2 - Tau Embargo and Tax
Although the Tau gate is no longer under Bretonian control, the Tau embargo line remains in effect for traders heading west of the Battleship Sterling in Dundee or north of the lane network in Newcastle.
Cargo being moved across the Tau Embargo in greater quantities than 1000 units will be charged 500,000 credits for standard cargo, and 1,500,000 credits for ores of any amount. Ships carrying less than 1000 units will be charged 100,000 credits for standard cargo and 500,000 credits for ore.
2.2 - Powers of Embargo-Enforcing Lawful Entities
BAF and BPA pilots have the right to demand the destination of traders and confirm it via intel. Those found to be trading with Gallia will be deemed in violation of 4.2 - Assisting Hostile Forces.
Traders found to be attempting to break the embargo must drop their cargo or turn it over at a Bretonian base, and may also incur a 4,000,000 credit fine if they do not cooperate.
Fleeing the scene before complying with demands will be taken as an attempt at breaking the embargo."
Perhaps a few amendments should be made. I leave it to the War Cabinet to vote on, if they see this post. I'm no longer there, had to leave due to RL.
Kudos to: The "Unlikely Friends" Trade Event!
Kudos to: All the smugglers that participated and braved the dangers.
Kudos to: My team that put up patrols.
Special kudos to those smugglers that did not go "rule lawyer" or "I will sanction you" or "you &))"&%§$%!!!", but roleplayed. I think the IMG| gave a fair deal to those who actually wanted it by providing free ore for the lost cargo.
I'm calling the IMG intercept mission off now, as the loophole of flying BAF-IDed ships has finally been found out, and thus the Border World rules do not provide protection from House consequences any more. Seeing some of the emotions in this, I'd rather not go out on that thin branch
So.... make a few more millions without resistance.
Still a lot of money open to be made.
Was a fun weekend!
Hope no one is mad at me. If yes, please contact me on Skype.

Like Jack has said;
Kudos: to the "Unlikely Friends" Trade Event made by Spazzy
Kudos to the: Smugglers and the side trading the goods and attempting to break the Tau blockade made by CR|, IMG|, A/), [C], {AFC} and everyone else. Good job to those guys.
Kudos to: The blockade team, we worked really well via skype, e-chats and just in general. Good job let's keep working like it.
We done well keeping them away from there delivery points and getting the mission done. Right now it is 66.24% on Advanced Electromagnetic Shielding and 62.11% on the Maltese Light Arms. I think we done well until this BAF-ID'd loophole was found out. I have called our guys off now also before something happens which will ruin alot of moods.
Was a nice weekend and I hope to see something like this again in a few weeks.
I am very glad to see that this brought activity in the Taus and Bretonia. The event will remain active until the next server restart, which is ~11 hours from now.

Now have fun dealing with all the santion reports against the intercepting players.
Kudos to @Skorak for proposing the event and to @sindroms for a perfect implementation. Taus were not so active for months and it was a breath of fresh air for this region. Kudos to all factions and indies that took a part in this event.
