I'm a little behind on the times, since I don't have the time to play in-game these days. I know of VHFs all having torpedo mounts, but what is a Maxim? Seeing something with an ammo count of 2,000 kind of grabbed my attention!

It's a very-very-very-extreme version of the Solaris concept. Low damage at high fire rate with fast projectiles that guarantee a minimal amount of damage rather than hitting nothing all the time with heavier, slower weapons.

Can we make the default sound 'BRRRRRRRRRRT'?

Frankly it's pretty good.
Honestly having two CDs on a HF doesn't make sense. You can't mount a Reinforced logically and you can do everything else with a Train.
Needless to say, Maxim requires the ENORMOUS amount of money to refill the full round of it. Also, the shotsounds. They are terrible. In all aspects. Please, stay with the vanilla way, no need to stich the shotsound with the projectile 'cause it sounds terrible, as the example, Nomad Laser Type III.
