' Wrote:Currently Liners are transports... In 4.85, they'll be a unique class (which Freelancers can't fly).
And yet, looking at the IDs, Researchers and neutrals, can. After all, neutrals are much more likely to be transporting a full cargo of prisoners or slaves than a freelancer or mercenary. And them researchers, they have to travel in the lap of luxury you know.
Does anyone know if there are any regular transports with less than 3500 cargo of liberty origin that looks appropiate that can survive long enough with a determined assault on it that a wing of escorts has a significant chance of saving it or at least holding off an assault to the point that the attacked ship has a significant chance of escape?
Perhaps coming in 4.85, since I can't find a suitable ship in the current mod?
The capital ships have been removed completly and are now mostly fictional.
Our ship and equipment lists are now a little better defined. We are placing the Liberty Gunboat on the list, as our center pieces for combat operations. Since I have seen a warspite flying around, I doubt we will call it that.
Liberty Gunboat Justification:
We split off from Liberty in the early 7th centuary. The lib gunboat card says "Liberty Gunboats were built in mass numbers for several centuries, however, in the recent decades Navy cut down its production in favour of more powerful Cruisers and more maneuverable fighters of Avenger class." As such, I am sure our former Lib workers knew how to maintain those ships, and sooner or later the families would have found one to salvage with it's increased production.
Also we no longer take contracts against the Xenos at all, from anyone. They are in the same boat, with different sails. No reason to punch holes in their's.
The first post will be updated to reflect these changes soon.
