@HanCloudstone: he's still on probation, unfortunately, he cannot post outside the RP section of the forums.
@Jack_Henderson This is not about the impact, this is just an abstract example of a random faction using the advantage of the off-time to reach a given goal.
Next point.
I guess it's a fair observation that the supplies might have occurred when the Core players are not online. But since the server is 24/24h, I don't think the suppliers should be blamed for the time they choose to log. Personally, I am in North America and I usually can't play before the evening, it means my interactions with European players are pretty low. If I am correct, it is a similar situation for Casualty. Thus, I feel it is the Core responsibility to recruit players in different time zones to enable the Core to be active all day long.
Moreover, players that are not able to connect when the Core is active (like myself) could also argue that because of the different time zones, they were not able to connect during the FP11 assault, so using the same argument, they could also contest the validity of the attack. (but so far I did not hear that anobody contested it).
For now, the server is 24/24h, so I cannot agree with your point Lyth. But I understand your concern.
I guess we should think and discuss pro and cons about specifying server-times in the next trading events to make it more challenging and more valuable.
I find it interesting that we (as the Zoner community as a whole) have to ask to have a NPC station returned to normal, but additional guard ships (NPC carriers) can be placed and removed whenever the admin team feels like it, regardless of the ingame credits or time involved to get those vessels there.
If we are going to play the "INRP" card then "INRP" there are still three carriers there, and "INRP" the station is still damaged, and "INRP" this that and the other
When I supplied the Freeport 11 with the supplies. I did it when the player cap were 50+. No one came besides for the casual indie player. Even they didn't want to object to my supplying. When I did my supplies at sub-20 players, I met the occasional non-Core player trying to interfere by destroying my transport never relating toward the issue of wanting to block my Freeport 11 supplying (just want some blues on some powertraders, but I'm fine with that).
The way I see it, if no one besides the Core| want to stop people from supplying Freeport 11. Then, it's the Core's problem. Either they offer bounties for freelancers to come online and track supplies heading toward Freeport 11 at off times to destroy them or amend it into their law so indie Cores can uphold the law.

But when you have people coming to interact, people call it shadow logging lol. That attitude really needs to stop though.
But back to the point of the thread, most Core players are Europeans, yeah some are American - but those players have lost interest in the server because of general treatment. I don't think by Core ID that they can just shoot traders that are going to the Freeport anyway. They can't even update their laws to even reflect upon the current conflicts.
I think it's more of a motivational issue to log, and mainly that no one wants to log at 3am to stop traders V:
As a freelancer I find it interesting to read this thread. I figure a couple of redundant points should be put up.
1. 24/7 server. This means that anything can happen at any time. If you want to blockade a system or port and stop their supplies from arriving, part of your faction better be online 24/7 just like the server.
2. This is a GLOBAL server. This means just because the majority of your faction is online at "x:xx" time, does not mean the majority of your opposition will be online during the same time. Plan accordingly.
3. Freelancers can be hired by any faction last I checked. Make it lucrative and many will help your cause.
4. I find it discouraging that most of the people posting here think OOgame actions are the only thing that matters. This makes me wonder if going Igame is worth it at all when all I need to do is RP in the forums to get things done. There should be balance between the 2.
5. Now to diverge deeper into your attempt to blockade scenario since this seems to be the major subject of this thread.
5a. All ships of your faction should be focusing on DESTROYING ALL VESSELS NOT OF ZYOUR FACTION near FP11. A blockade lets NOTHING through, not even food. The best way to get control of a place is to force those that are nonmilitary at said location to revolt against those who are supposed to protect it.
5b. If the player faction/npc faction are the same, maybe try to get devs/admin to have said npc ships in the area focus on transports/freighters or ships of a specific rival faction and leave other vessels alone unless attacked first.
5c(aka point 3.) Hire freelancers(aka mercenaries) to do your work for you. They will do almost anything if the credits are right.
5d. Ever heard of weapons platforms? Maybe ask about how to get a few installed to help with said blockade(or to stop one for that matter).
5e. Figure out what ships are doing the most damage to your efforts(fits both sides of this conflict btw) and put a bounty out on them repeatedly. When transport pilots lose too many loads, they tend to find new trade routes that are less dangerous. Same goes for fighter pilots who continually die. Eventually they will look for easier prey in other systems.
5f. GET YOUR OFFICIAL ALLIES TO HELP YOU! Omg this is probably the most important part. Other than the Major Houses(who will stay out of this unless it spills over into their actual ZOI) there are quite a few factions that should be at least a little involved with this besides the Core and Zoners. If you cant call on an ally to help you in a time of need(especially war) why are you allies with them?
Probably more but I gotta head to work. Flame away at my 2 cents lol
