My name is Kai Richter, Director of Security for ALG.
It was a pleasure patrolling with your ships earlier today; I do not normally get many chances to tour the Sigmas in good company. The Crow is a remarkable region, politically unique, which I felt we have an obligation to involve ourselves more heavily in.
From the conversation I had with the board of directors, this is the statement we have come up with.
We view with favor the establishment of a house-independent presence in the disputed Sigmas, particularly Sigma-21, under the primary control of the Gas Miners Guild.
We regard the development of planet Saigon in its initial phases to be crucial to solidifying the spheres of influence in the system, and we wish to assist the
Taiheiyo Consortium, as a currently rising branch of the Guild, in forging a dominant presence on the planet.
We wish for our efforts in the region, in light of our own fruitful history and the less savory history of the Guild with Rheinland, to result in a strong economic position in the area for our company.
We will actively make an effort to safeguard routes not compatible with the diplomacy of the houses, and potential installations to operate outside the confines of house control, and wish for you and other potential allies to do the same.
And finally, we are willing to provide the force if needed to unseat potential competitors or derail problematic attempts to influence the development of the system.
The distance from real house influence at the moment is ideal, and if there is an issue with interlopers threatening the planned system, we will not hesitate to use any measure of the destructive force at our disposal.
We spoke of conducting joint surveys, which we are only to happy to participate in.
Epsilon squadron, stationed in Frankfurt, has been set on high alert. I have also spoken with R&D Division, who have agreed to send a vessel to the Sigmas to assist with personnel and tech.
It is my hope that we can work together efficiently for prosperous, independent Sigmas.
Regards from Rheinland,
Kai Richter

I am honored to make your acquaintance, Director Richter.
My name is Kobayashi Sora or Sora Kobayashi in your Western naming convention. As a leading member of the Consortium's Board of Directors, I have been tasked with discussing our plans for the Sigma Sector with you and your corporation. Like you, I too share a deep love of this beautiful azure nebula and all that live inside of it.
The serendipity of ALG's support in asserting our claims throughout the Sigmas is music to our ears. But what matters now are our future actions.
The Sigma-21 system is another virgin oasis that the Guild fully intends to colonize. Up until now, Planet Kurile was the most habitable place in the Sigmas. And that damp, acidic Samura pebble pales in comparison to the blessing that is Planet Saigon. Initial scouting reports have reported favorable conditions just from observation by the naked eye. The appearance of the atmosphere and surface certainly suggests a fairly Earth-like set of conditions, and the orbiting moon certainly contributes to this image. Planet Hanoi also shows promise, especially if we can properly pacify the system and establish gas mining operations around the upper atmosphere.
Your offer of support for joint surveys comes at an excellent time, as the Board has been discussing this topic for a week now. The moment our communications network is fully operable, we plan on sending more in-depth and well-equipped survey expeditions to the system. With your personnel and technology, we can begin joint surveyance.
I also recommend we consult other independent researchers, preferably experts in the natural sciences, to assist in this undertaking. I have heard of some Zoners out in the Omicrons with a reputation for excelling in scientific pursuits. It is in our best interests to investigate this and attempt to contract them.
It is our hope that our surveys will yield promising results, and we can begin sending expeditions to the terrestrial bodies of the system to further study and ascertain the habitability of planets in Sigma-21.
I shall contact our security assets to step up patrols in the area during our scientific endeavors. The last thing we need is a repeat of DSE's botched Armstrong expedition in Coronado.
There is a fair bit of concern regarding Kusari and Rheinland, however. Both Houses have expressed great interest in Sigma-21, and although conflict and tension may be inevitable,
the Consortium would prefer to settle grievances at the negotiating table, not the trenches of battle. As we move forward with our efforts, we should discuss the political ramifications and how to control their consequences.
On behalf of everyone in the Consortium, and hopefully the Guild, I look forward to our future work together in the Sigmas.
I'm Magdalena Atzenbruck, President of ALG. I've decided to take on management of this project myself as it will require coordinating multiple branches of the company.
I am in full agreement that our future actions and their timeframe are critical. As I understand, a joint strike force of ours has already drawn first blood in the system, with the meddlesome Unioners apparently seeking to expand north. I won't make this too long, just present three key parts of our plan.
One, security.
The battlecruiser Erdbeben will remain in the area for the time being, and I have given the okay for ships from Epsilon squadron to move further out from their home base in Frankfurt. Together with your forces, we will patrol the area and discourage or destroy unwanted guests.
Two, surveying.
The Research & Development Division has sent the exploration vessel Cirrus to the Sigmas; she should make contact with you soon if she hasn't already. We will assist in both stellar and planetary surveying as we can - this should yield solid results as soon as possible so we might make our presence more permanent.
Three, planetary operations.
Division V, our division for clandestine, unconventional, and sensitive operations has had a heavily armed team of operatives in place in the Omicrons. With the situation there cooling somewhat and the intended operations in the area on tentative hold, I have ordered the team back to the Sigmas.
With groups such as the Unioners clearly taking great interest, it's possible that there are already hostile pioneers planetside. We will stand ready to extinguish any forces that could jeopardize the intended development of the planet.
Finally, I would like to say that we may wish to look for other potential partners and allies here. Deflecting the interests of the houses and destroying various invaders is a substantial challenge, and there are areas in which both our organizations lack know-how compared to some potential partners.
Hopefully we will keep in close contact to organize the patrols and surveys planned in the near future.
A pleasure to finally meet you, President Atzenbruck.
The Consortium has begun preparations for our expedition of Planet Saigon. After her maiden expedition to Sigma-13's Meidling Anomaly, the RV Kon-Tiki has been dispatched with an appropriate escort to begin surveys and studies from medium Saigon orbit. Spectrograph, satellite imaging, and probe surveys are being conducted as we speak. In addition, we have started inquiring about possible freelance groups that may be useful assets during our efforts in Sigma-21.
We've also been thinking of bringing Cryer and Synth Foods onboard for this expedition. Some have suggested we search among the Zoners for help, as well.
