The 2nd Interceptor Division, nicknamed Dealers in Death or Hell on Wings, is a Gas Miners Guild Paramilitary interceptor squadron based out of Iejima Station in the Sigma 19 system. The squadron is host exclusively to Spacers, those Guild personnel who are space-bound as opposed to settled or raised on Honshu and Miura.

History
The 2nd Interceptor Division traces its lineage back to 589 A.S., during the 80-Years War with Imperial Rheinland, where it was established shortly after Rheinland Military forces overran Guild defenses in the Sigma 13 system, capturing Gas Miner Naha in the process. Originally known as the 2nd Fighter Squadron, they were equipped with state-of-the-art Falcon heavy fighters and conducted a series of devastating strikes on Kruger supply lines from the nebulae of Sigma 13 over the course of the war. They quickly became famous throughout the Guild for both their skill in combat and their nose art, a shark mouth and eyes painted on both sides of the fighter's nose. This iconic status was bolstered further by extensive, unorthodox visual modifications to their craft, which usually showed up in weekly Guild publications alongside guncam footage.
Notable engagements for the 2nd FS included the assault on Richtofen Station in 614 A.S., and the Battle of the Yanagi Nebula in 668 A.S., where 2nd FS Falcons helped rout the Imperial Rheinland Navy from rightful Gas Miner space. Following Yanagi Nebula, the 2nd Fighter Squadron was only at roughly 33% combat effectiveness, and as such it was disestablished and its fighters and pilots were absorbed into other fighter squadrons.
In 721 A.S., the 2nd Fighter Squadron's lineage was reestablished as the 2nd Fighter Squadron Composite, a reserve adversary and training squadron that was deployed to Kyoto base in order to train Blood Dragon guerillas in fighting a successful proxy war against Samura Industries. They rotated out of Chugoku in 722, returning every other year until the Nomad War of 800 A.S.. Stranded in Chugoku and cut off from the Guild due to the infected Rheinland Military presence in the Sigmas, pilots of the 2nd FSC had no choice but to assist the Blood Dragons in combating the Nomad threat, fighting alongside the BD at Tekagi's Arch. Following the conclusion of the Nomad War, what remained of the 2nd FSC was disestablished and reorganized into its modern counterpart: the 2nd Interceptor Division.
Basing from Gas Miner Ogashawa, the 2ID now had a purely defensive focus, protecting Guild assets in the Sigma 19 system from Samura lackies such as the Farmers Alliance in the Guild's second proxy war with the corporation. Their Falcon heavy fighters, although dated by this point, proved adequate for the mission they were tasked with. On multiple occasions, 2ID was relocated from Ogashawa, usually in lieu of new threats, and was generally redesignated as the 2nd Interceptor Division, Expeditionary for the duration of their deployments.
Following the ascension of Keiji Namura to Guildmasterhood, the 2ID was bolstered as part of his Paramilitary expansion policy. Now equipped with top-of-the-line T-493C-HF Block 52 "Karasu" heavy fighters and T-493H-B Block 20 "Kaichou" bombers, with Guildmember Tal Ravis being promoted to squadron commander, the 2nd Interceptor Division served with distinction in multiple well-documented engagements with enemies of the Guild. Notably, they were relocated to Iejima station briefly in 823 A.S., gaining the Expeditionary designation once more as they stood watch for any attempts by the Corsairs to siege the station, and also assisted efforts by the joint task force "Geyer Squadron" to protect assets in the Sigma systems. Unfortunately, the disappearance of Guildmaster Namura and new Guild leadership which focused on downsizing the Paramilitary forces led to the dissolution of the 2nd Interceptor Division, and the discharging of most of the squadron's personnel.
Following the Yukari family's acquisition of the GMG, the 2nd Interceptor Division has also since been reestablished by disgruntled Spacers within the Guild's paramilitary, who fear the growing influence of the "Settlers", and is once again posted on Iejima Station, flying T-493C-HF Block 52 "Karasu" heavy fighters and T-493H-B Block 20 "Kaichou" bombers in protection of the Guild. There are currently plans in the pipeline to augment or replace the aging Karasu airframes with new T-493-VHF Block 2A "Benzaiten" very heavy fighters.

A third GMG group?
I see you guys base yourself off the GMG pob, interesting choice to be honest but reading the writeup and seeing who's behind it it makes sense.
If I understood it correctly you basically act as "Interceptor wing" of GMG/GMG| and focus primarily on the home defense aspect? With the recent uprising tensions in the Sigmas that will get you hopefully lots of stuff to do.

As a very small group within the Guild, will y'all be conducting diplomacy and doing "foreign relations" at all? Regardless, good luck, and Kishiro looks forward to working with you very soon.

We will not be conducting formal diplomacy, but we will hold "attitudes" on a per-case basis depending on our impression of new factions in the Sigmas.
As a follow-up: Will you follow the other two GMG factions in their diplomacy? Say if the other GMG factions makes friends/allies of an organization, will you mirror that so as to not create internal conflict, or will you make your own "based on our impression"?
