COMM ID:Lt. Commander Daniel Redding TARGET ID:JW|Lavender.Bra SUBJECT:Your Request for Political Asylum ENCRYPTION:Medium PRIORITY:Medium
Dear Mr. "Lavender Bra"...
I have brought your case forward to the Judge Advocate General who has assigned to you a lawyer from the Liberty Armed Forces to submit your application for political asylum here at the Republic of Liberty. There are however, certain conditions attached.
1. Firstly, you must remove the Rheinland Military transponder/IFF and ID from your ship.
2. You are to turn over the Rheinland snubcraft that you have brought, over to the Liberty Navy and acquire a civilian vessel to fly with.
These two conditions are absolutely non-negotiable conditions and you must comply. As you are a officer with the Rheinland Military, your application for political asylum will be determined under the Uniform Code of Justice, essentially meaning that it will be determined by a military judge, not a civilian judge whether you receive political asylum here at Liberty or not. The court date has been set to one week from now when you will hear whether your request for asylum has been granted or denied. Until that time, you have the right to travel freely throughout Liberty so long as you comply with the two conditions outlined above this paragraph. If you wish, you may go to the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Kusari at Planet Manhattan to also apply for asylum at the DR Kusari.
Secondly, I have strong reason to believe that a government official or someone from the Liberty Security Force will try to contact you to determine the facts of your defection from the Rheinland Military. Should this happen, I strongly suggest you cooperate and speak truthfully, and any evidence you can gather to support your case would be welcome. Your lawyer will be dropping by your holding later today to introduce himself. Good luck and godspeed Mr. Lavender Bra.
Sincerely, Lt. Commander Daniel Redding, 1st Fleet, [LN]
