All right after a year of inactivity or less,I just found out the nomad hypergates in iota are gone.
I don't know whose Ideea was that, but it was the worst ideea ever.
As a Khara player, the omicrons are pretty much dead, and to get to liberty/rheinland I have to fly for 30 minutes and lose half my bots throguuh the radiation fields.
This is obviously a very bad thing.
You completely destroyed the Khara faction.Even Aoi and Wilde. Now we have to fly for a lot of time to get to the relevant places.I don't have time to waste,Nobody does.
BRING BACK THE GATES.Or expect a steady decrease in activity from all nomad factions.
If any of you wants to contact me,add me on skype and I'll speak to you.

We removed all non-vanila POBs as we track down issues with Core 5 POBs consuming RA.
As I already addressed you ingame, I will make sure that the "morons" dealing with the issue hurry up.

You're both missing the point. Just because "he won't die if there are no gates" doesn't mean they shouldn't be added anyways. It's an addition that has only pros and no cons and is mostly there to reduce travel time which directly results in increasing player interaction, something that's definitely welcome for a faction that's hostile with everyone that has only a few bases to dock on. The mentality of "let's not add new stuff that only help and don't harm anyone because it's not absolutely necessary" is bad. As an example, all NPCs used to have a CD and people "dealt with it" at the time perfectly fine, does that mean they should never have been removed? Of course not, they were nothing but nuissance and increased player interaction quality and it was a very good move to get rid of them.

This'd be nice with 200 players online, and the gates wouldn't be needed at all, but the statement is quite contradictory for one simple reason which is if you have to spend 15 minutes trying to reach an activity spot, chances are by the time you get there the whole party will be gone. If it only took you 5 minutes, it's a completely different story. "Roleplaying along the way" is a great concept that rarely work in practice because of the current player count. Not saying it can't happen, but you'll surely get more interaction with gates than without them. If you need evidence, take a look at the activity of someone like Aoi in the second half of 2016 when the gates were still a thing.
Don't get me wrong, I have Aoi shareds on most Nomad and Wild bases, and I don't mind the removal of gates that much except that it makes using caps outside of Omicrons a pain because we have only a few. Not to mention Marduks who surely won't bother wasting 30 minutes spamming /stuck to get through all the asteroid fields. However, if as mentioned before it's a change that's only positive, why not put it in regardless? Okay, as Spazzy mentioned at the moment we have issues with POBs, but once that's settled there could easily be a way to add the gates back. I already suggested putting only 1 POB gate which leads to 4 solar gates that are surrounded by a dense nomad minefield so nobody can access it from the outside.
