Háykam mánas, HáykaH prádr̥ĉš, Háykam HártHam (One mind, one goal, one purpose)
Biography: Krumai was born in 799 AS aboard a liner to clan members Nirak (mother) and Ketsdara (father) of the Kamkata. She was raised in Ainu depot, picking up four languages: Kamkata, the old language, Kusarian, and Sirian Standard. Throughout her teenage years she quickly rose through the clan and became a chief in 823 AS at the age of 24 while at the same time facing many tragedies. Her father died when he was ambushed by a KNF patrol in 812 AS in Hokkaido and her mother was captured and imprisoned for 10 years in Fuchu Prison from 815 AS to 825 AS, after which she was freed with the assistance of the Golden Chrysanthemums.
Krumai is a talented pilot; in fact she was the best among the cell itself, destroying four KNF ships during a raid on Ainu in 824 AS. She is notable for her deep faith in the cell's native religion. In 827 AS, she met one of the Sisters of Light, Minami Mi, and soon raised enough money to purchase her new flagship, the Jestak. A deal with the Blood Dragons led her to acquiring five of their gunboat turrets. Unfortunately for her, she would soon turn away from the clan due to her fascination with the "light". By the start of 828 AS, after the Jestak was critically damaged, she was nowhere to be found, leaving with what appeared to be a KNF ship. Rumors may have surfaced within the Golden Chrysanthemums and the Order suggesting she may have become an infectee.

The Beginning: After the encounter with a Lost One in Omicron Zeta, the Jestak was testing its long range sensors. After hours of fruitless searching, the sensors found a wrecked hull beneath the icy tundra of Planet Palmyra. Krumai called her former Cubhras Handhas clanmembers, who pledged allegiance to her after she left Hokkaido for Tohoku, to do a preliminary search of the wreckage. "Find the wreckage and send a fleet of towships to retrieve whatever is left." Krumai said in haste.
The Cubhras Handhas, now part of the Aoi Iseijin, retrieved the wreckage after six hours without being detected by the Zoners or the Order. It was towed back to Altair Research Station in excellent condition, having been preserved by Palmyra's ice. Onboard the station, Krumai walked through the hallways, seeing the ship in one of the drydocks.
"Analyze the ship, and see if it can be restored in working condition."
"Yes. Our estimates indicate the ship was buried in the ice for five years. Our records indicated a Naval Forces expedition into the Omicrons which was declared as "lost" by the Admiralty. If my memory serves right, this should be the KDS Asuka, part of the 66th Divison."
"Excellent. Soon the Cubhras Handhas will have a destroyer under its control."
"Most of its components remained intact. It should only take a day for repairs to be complete."
"Very well."
Logs of the KDS Asuka: It has been a day after she wrote her last entry. Krumai walked down the same path the day before.
"Here you go, miss Krumai. The ship is ready for your service."
"Not exactly. I need to know if the captain's logs survived the journey."
"It's all intact. You can take a look at it."
Krumai checked the logs that were kept inside and read the section detailing the voyage of the Asuka. Most of them were brief, but had significant relevance to the event.
"May 9, 823 - This is Niito Kaisa Toshihiro Sano of the KDS Asuka. A week ago, the Admiralty ordered me to command one of the newest Takeda-class Destroyers, the KDS Asuka. In addition, as a member of the 66th Division, I was assigned to do recon work on Omicron Zeta to verify suspected alien activity. I am scheduled to depart Kusari tomorrow. Tennou heika banzai!"
"May 12, 823 - This is Niito Kaisa Toshihiro Sano of the KDS Asuka. After two days, we entered the Omicron Zeta system. My orders this time was to examine the icy, desolate planet for any sign of civilization. Initial surveys revealed countless artifacts, which we promply took aboard the Asuka. I hope everything goes well. Tennou heika banzai!"
She finds the last log.
"May 12, 823 - This is Niito Kaisa Toshihiro Sano of the KDS Asuka. While departing the planet, we were soon found by another Naval Forces detachment. It was odd, since the Admiralty did not order any further expeditions to the Omicrons after my assignment. They claimed to be members of the 113th Division and did not respond to my hails. I can only count on the worst, but my spirit shall live on. Tenno heika banzai!"
Records aboard the facility indicate the KDS Asuka and her squadron were intercepted by the 113th Division, a rogue division of Naval Forces personnel. After an hour-long fight, the Asuka was soon cornered by the 113th Division. With her systems damaged, and her squadron captured in action, the Asuka crash landed towards the planet at impulse speed, The 113th Division retreated due to harsh planetary conditions, and a follow-up investigation turned up nothing.
"From what I could tell, the crew of the Asuka could not tolerate the harsh conditions and succumbed to the cold, unable to escape the icy tomb."
"Henceforth, I shall designate the destroyer under the name "Askunu", one of the Cubhras Handhas' tribes."
She departed Altair aboard the Askunu, formerly the KDS Asuka.
