My journey in the off-the-official-books Sigma operation has begun. Deep behind enemy lines, without large scale support or open public acknowledgment I am ready to be one of many that will undermine the historic enemy the Rheinwehr is still the most bitter about. The shifty Gas Miners Guild will feel the taste of their own medicine as we engage in an unofficial war of attrition, from the shadows, deep in their territory.
The goal is to economically undermine them and de-stabilise their so called "Gas Miners Guild sovereign space" and I have had small successes on this journey already. Some may call it piracy, I choose to call it justice for the pain they have been causing us, spanning all the way since the beginning of the 80 Year war to recent past.
Two Gas Miners Guild vessels deprived of resources. It is but an initial drop in the vast sea of sabotage and sorrow we will cause our enemy over the coming years.
And to these people we have lost the 80 Year War? By these people we got manipulated into a costly war with the Kusarians that resulted in a treaty that made us retreat from the GMG so called territory?

The encounter with the GMG very heavy fighter in Sigma-21 was brief, the gaser didn't respect the Rheinwehr at all and paid the price.
If things go this smoothly going forward it will take mere months instead of the long years I sort of expected before we can launch a this time finally permanently succesful large scale invasion of the GMG territory.
Our off-the books unofficial operation continues. I want to apologise for not trusting our ancestors and predecessors. We will avenge their memory, but the operation will indeed be a lenghty one. The Gas Miners Guild have shown strong resistance after our presence caught them off guard initially.
Both Harper in a re-match from earlier and Matsumo have bested me in head-on clashes.
I have called Rheinwehr Geheimdienst reinforcements of our own, but we couldn't do any damage to the criminal Aspen that sided with them due to a local heavily fortified Gas Miners Guild Station.
In the long run, sabotaging or straight up destroying this installation might be the key to preparing the ground for Rheinland to move in once more on a large scale and expect success.
The massive amounts of grudges against the GMG within Rheinwehr are incredible. I considered myself basking in the satisfaction of carving the Guild members, but my zeal is nothing in comparison to other Rheinwehr veterans. Together with now three different volunteers we have been trying our best to begin our lenghty campaign that will one day finally lead to victory. [RM]Bmn-Reims, Jurgen_Schmidt, [RM]Nachtlicht and myself have now staged multiple intrusions behind enemy lines.
The battles are hard fought, enemy numbers are high, but we shall not be deterred, we will finish what our ancestors in Rheinwehr have started.

[14.10.2021 17:25:54] [ALG]-R&D.3: I'm observing, but ready to intervene if necessary.
The now overtaken [ALG] who seems to have taken a backfoot to other independent ALG Waste Disposal operatives in terms of activity in Rheinland has been behaving suspitiously and should be watched.
Alas, there is little we can do if [ALG] choose to side with our historic enemy in the Sigmas. Our operation does not officially exist on the books there, we can't really call them out over official channels even if they do betray us and best we can hope for is they respect the Holstein accords and the unified Rheinland. Rheinwehr consists of legions of former Federalists, it is still hard to believe [ALG] would choose the GMG over the people they supported and suffered for.
Heavier Ordnance
After the initial successes it appears the GMG are mustering defenses. If I am so bold I would ask Geheimdienst leadership to spare one or two Oder Kriegsschiffe to support our efforts in our incursuions deep into hostile territory.
Something big is going down in Omicron Xi. I do not know where I was, I couldn't see the stars and my blackbox and collected data were destroyed as they forced my vessel to retreat and damaged it.
Our Sigma operation is proceeding - I have been running into skilled snubcraft pilots and large numbers, perhaps the use of gunboat class vessels is in Oder order.
The usual back and forth was interrupted today by a strange occurence. [ALG]-Epsilon.3 appeared to assist one of the GMG targets. This caught me by surprise as [ALG] has been a great ally to us former Federalists during the civil war. Unfortunately I had no space to brief him or interrogate tim as the ship arrived mid fierce battle, one I was pulling the shorter end in admittedly.
It is possible he operates deep in the Sigmas and the news of the end of the War, or the fact that us federalists are in [RM] and Rheinwehr former Imperialists bolstered the MND, didn't get to him yet. I will not draw any conclusions, and hope to have a chance to talk with the Epsilon.3 operator next time so this missunderstanding gets cleared out.

Guten Abend.
Since the mixed results of the Helgoland sabotage we have been laying low in the Sigma systems. Until today - our operations have gone on to measure the response and strength of the Guild in the Sigma-13 system. The response times were severely delayed, our fleet managed to remain undetected in the system for solid thirty minutes, but the response arrived eventually.
The Rheinwehr fleet was called off and I tested the battle capability of the arriving Gas Miners Guild forces. The situation remains unchanged - a direct assault is not recommended as they are still very capable in the conditions of the system. Further observation, testing, and strategic analysis will be required before a direct invasion of the Sigma regions and their resources can be considered.

Guten Abend Admiral Arnold,
As ordered by your previous communication I departed this time to Sigma 17.
I prepared myself at Holstein, but then I got a comm message from my former pupil - now Flieger Niklas.Schulz. He volunteered to join me on this mission. As an extra wingman could be of use when problems arise, it was a good idea in my eyes to let him join. We decided to meet near Battleship Schwerin in Frankfurt and departed from there to Sigma 13, continuing to Sigma 17 with the gas clouds covering our tracks.
After entering the Sigma 17 jumphole that was discovered in my previous reconnaissance, we went westward. We found a Cryer Base with the name "Atka Research Station". Not much further we found an operational jumpgate to Sigma 19! I might consider checking that system out later. We diverted north, we found ruins that dated from a time long past. I couldn't pinpoint the origins of the technology, but it seemed like an old outpost of some sorts. I brought back some small pieces of debris to Mecklenburg Station for further research. A little bit further I found the wreck of a Cryer freighter with the nametag Robert Fitzgerald. I doubt it has any relation to said previous wreck.
We continued further north into the thickening gas cloud, until out of what was basically nowhere - Planet Kurile emerged. The infamous place where Samura and GMG got their alien organisms. While scouting near the planet, our far range scanners picked up GMG patrols. They probably got our trail despite the gas clouds covering us. The adrenaline got to the both of us! Knowing they could block our route back to the jumpgate, we diverted course south around the Green and Blue Dwarf. We passed what seemed a stationed Corsair Battleship, but I couldn't get any more info on it as we had to rush before GMG could find us. Niklas und Ich changed route and entered the Sigma 21 jumphole. I told Niklas that if I would get caught, he needs to continue to fly home and bring the info, which is worth more than a single pilot like me. He reluctantly agreed, but I know he would do as ordered.
Not sure we were still being searched for, we didn't wait to check things in Sigma 21 and rushed to Sigma 15. We restocked and took a rest on Mecklenburg Station. Flieger Niklas Schulz did very well and while I know it isn't my place to give promotions, I think he's proven himself enough to be recommended for a promotion to Bootsmann!
That there is a damaged Cryer base shows us that the Gas Miner's Guild is indeed not in full control of the region. You did well not getting caught - the information you are bringing us is invaluable. Continue with your work, we will search for openings or third parties that could erode the grasp of the Guild in the region.
