It has been some since I have had the honour to talk to our friends from Lapalisse. I should start by apologizing for the late "Congratulations" on finishing the work on Lapalisee. I must say, it has come a long way since the first time our people met. I was informed that there have been some major changes that took place in Rishiri once the Kusari Traitors have retreated. Nevertheless, I do believe you already know about the awful state of what was once La Charite – Misaki complex. The Kusarian fleets seem to have gone scorched earth on all the infrastructure present in Rishiri.
My clan has been tasked with contacting you and presenting an idea that we are currently working on, namely the rehabilitation of the two-base complex. We are currently running in-depth analysis of their structural integrity, while we do not have the entire picture yet, we are aware of the fact that, at least, La Charite Spaceport could be rehabilitated.
As such, I would like to know if the Front de Libération de Gallia would like to participate in rehabilitating the bases. It is our opinion that both of our factions could profit from this endeavour. Should you be interested, I will provide more information once our analysis is done.
Respectfully,

Good day Dragon!
We do have a dillema - we know the former Royalists from the Union know we are in Roussillon, that is no secret to them. The Sirians surrounding them have been luke warm to say the least in standing against the Union - creating blockades that just reinforce the xenophobic doctrine of the Union and cut us out as well. Blockades that are hard to enforce. That's besides the fact that the Kusarian Government signed treaties with our enemies at the same time. So we have been searching for plan B in case they ever return to Roussillon where we have pushed them away from previously.
So far that plan was the Limousin system (Tau-61) - see our project, but what you propose seems much more cost-effective, and we wouldn't have to cleanse the animals that appear from time to time in the system. So for that purpose - Tau-53 - would be an ideal plan B or C for us should it come to the worst case scenario and we would not be able to show up in the open in Roussillon anymore.
Having you with a base in the system under your flag our people would frequent and help with re-pressurising and re-fitting would serve us very well. It could serve as a potential emergency re-fuelling and relatively safe spot for the Pamiers Battlegroup and provide increased access to supply lines which would safeguard Lapalisse's future. It would also allow our trading parties that seek Sirian assistance to have an easier time. And lastly - hitting the Kusarian Authorities' forces that have singlehandedly assured the former Royalists now grasp power in Gallia would be easier in our joint operations.
So in short - I agree, I am ready for the time being to redirect some of the resources we have been saving for the Limousin plan B relocation towards your proposed purpose. Our Maquisard Jacobin is on the scene, he will be dealing with the details and I have full faith in him assisting you in any way he can.
We are currently analysing the latest scans of the base wreks. My team is compiling a detailed list of materials needed. As soon as we have all the data sorted our, I will provide an update which will contain our next steps.
I have also arranged a shipment of our finest sake, it will arrive in two days. I was told by the dragons which frequent your base that they traded some sake for some Gallic wine. One of those wine bottles was sent to me, and I must say, it has a really exquisite taste.

Monsieur Minamoto,
I am happy to report that the base personnel at Lapalisse have really enjoyed the sake that you have sent. As you have found our wine to suit your tastes, I have personally delivered a transport full of wine to Kyoto base, as a sign of continuing friendship. We hope that you will be able to enjoy our wine for many days to come. If you ever run out, please send us a comm and I would be happy to deliver more.
I will standby for further communication from you regarding the materials needed to reinstate the bases that you had mentioned. As Boucher had mentioned, this would be beneficial to both parties.
Author: Michael Jacobin To: Kamakura Minamoto, Blood Dragons, Raimund Lavigned Subject: A request
Monsieur Minamoto,
I haven't heard from you recently, so our personnel at Lapalisse are still standing by for further instructions. However, we do have a favour to ask of you and the Blood Dragons. The Front is embarking on a special project and we are requesting some assistance in this regard. To be exact, we are attempting to rebuild a battleship from a partially deconstructed ship that we had erm... acquired. Our request is two-fold.
First, our engineers have little to no experience with battleship construction or maintenance. While I understand the Blood Dragons have experience in this field, the differences in technologies may lead to challenges. In spite of this, I was wondering if you could send a team of your engineers to Caussade Depot in the Roussillon system, and perhaps with some collaboration with our engineers, we may be able to come up with an ideal way of constructing these ships.
Second of all, we are in need of some materials that I understand you may be able to supply with ease. Monsieur Lavigned has expertise in the field of engineering and ship construction, so I'll defer to him with respect to material. However, what is known right now is that we need the following materials:
Engine Components: 3,000 units
Optronic Arrays: 6,250 units
We may need more materials at a later time, but right now, this is what Monsieur Lavigned told me that we need at the moment. Of course, while you are our esteemed allies, we don't expect you to do this for free. I do recall that you do not need credits. However, we would be happy to repay you via credits if you have changed your mind. Otherwise, the Front would be happy to assist with your endeavours as well. I have included Monsieur Lavigned in this communication in case I messed something up or he needed something urgently from the Dragons.
I hope we can continue to work together and our alliance will stay as strong as ever.
I appologize for the late respose, but for the last week I have been working on a backlog of research and development projects.
I have spoke with my team of researchers about the battleship project you have mentioned. It is true that we do have experience engineers in our ranks, and while they might not be familiar with Gallic technologies, I am positive we will be able to figure it out together. That being said, it is a rather long journey and I will take several day for myself and my team to finish our outstanding projects before being able to embark on our journey to Caussade Depot. As I know the importance of this project for The Front, and I value the relationships between The Front and The Rose Dragons, I will personally join the teams and provide what help I able in order to see this project come to fruition.
Regarding the materials that you have requested, it would seem that what you currently need can be provided by our teams. It will take a day or so to sort out the logistics, but you will have them delivered at Lapallise as soon as possible. Regarding payment, we can discuss about that when we meet, I have a feeling that I will be spending quite some time amongst The Front while reparing that battleship.
Now back to the situation in Rishiri/Tau-53: We have concluded that the remains of the former Kusarian base should be removed as there is no feasable way of using them. Fortunately, La Charite, although damaged, still has enough structural integrity in order for it to serve as a starting point. During the Kusarian-Gallic war, we have erm... aquired several schematics presenting the layout of La Charite. With those, we are possitive that with enough resources and enough manpower we can repair and improve what remained of La Charite.
I will contact you see with further information on our next steps regarding this project.
It is my pleasure to be at the forefront of the relationship between The Front and the Rose Dragons.

PS The wine was great. We will send another batch of sake with the Optitronic and Engine Components. Also, my team suggested that we should bring some Sake to Roussillion so that everyone the could try the best Sake in Sirius.
I assume by now you are used to us Maquisards tuning in and out - our lives would not be described as stable exactly. If I knew where the hell Jacobin is, I'd tell you. I'm sure he will turn up somewhere!
Anyways - what are the plans when it comes to Tau-53? We have been peacefully operating there - the local miners seem awfully nice and willing to support us with donations of ore and supplies, and they even keep complimenting us on how nice and clean our armed weapons are. Lapalisse Depot has become a relaxing destination for resource raising and taking down the Outcasts for the sport of it since the KNF departed. Until today!
There seems to be some base in
and the Naval Forces that more or less handed Gallia to the Royalists with their invasion have also made an appearance today.
As you can see, we still do have things under control - we estimate that Lapalisse is the last remaining operational base in the system - we are more than ready to share it as we always have - just let us know if your plans to increase your presence in the system are still going forward, and what form should our cooperation take.
